Ice River (ski Course)
Ice River is the Olympic technical ski course in China, located in Yanqing District, part of National Alpine Ski Centre resort, opened in 2022. It is approximately northwest of Beijing, currently hosting the technical alpine skiing events of the 2022 Winter Olympics. History On 7 February 2022, premiere event was held on this course with women's olympic giant slalom event. Swedish skier Sara Hector, who was leading in the discipline the season, won gold. Mikaela Shiffrin did not finish the first run and Petra Vlhová reached 8th place. On 9 February 2022, Petra Vlhová, won a gold medal at women's olympic slalom, the only missing title in her career. Clément Noël (born 3 May 1997) is a French World Cup alpine ski racer and specialises in the slalom discipline. He competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics, placing fourth in the slalom, then became the gold medalist in slalom at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Mathieu Faivre (born 18 January 1992) is a French World Cup alpine ski racer, and specializes in giant slalom. He has competed for France in two Winter Olympics and six World Championships. In 2021, he won two gold medals for world titles in giant slalom and parallel giant slalom. Žan Kranjec (born 15 November 1992) is a World Cup alpine ski racer from Slovenia. He is mainly competing in the technical events of giant slalom and slalom. James "Jack" Crawford (born 3 May 1997) is a Canadian World Cup alpine ski racer. He specializes in super-G, and also competes in giant slalom, downhill, and combined. Crawford made his World Cup debut in January 2016 in a super-G at Kitzbühel, Austria. He competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics, and the World Championships in 2019 and 2021, where he was fourth in the combined event.
