Royal Belgian Ice Hockey Federation
The Royal Belgian Ice Hockey Federation (RBIHF) is the Belgian ice hockey federation, known in Dutch as the ''Koninklijke Belgische IJshockey Federatie'' (KBIJF) and in French as the ''Fédération Royale Belge de Hockey sur Glace'' (FRBHG). It is responsible for administering ice hockey in Belgium, from the national team to the local leagues to youth development. History The Royal Belgian Ice Hockey Federation was formed in 1912 by Henry Van den Bulck. He became its first president remained in the position until 1920. The Belgium men's national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Belgium, and has been a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) since 1908. They have played in four Olympic Games, the last in 1936. The team also participated in the European Championships from 1910 to 1932. The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF; french: Fédération internationale de hockey sur glace; german: Internationale Eishockey-Föderation) is a worldwide governing body for ice hockey.
