Ice Age (TV Show)
''Ice Age'' () is a weekly Russian ice show. It is originally produced by Channel One Russia (Pervy Kanal), broadcasting intermittently since 2007. Description The show ''Ice Age'' consists in a sports TV competition of several couples in figure skating. One of the partners in each pair is a well-known representative of the Russian theater, sports, ballet, stage, cinema or television, far from this sport, and the other is a titled professional in sports ice dancing or single figure skating. The skills of the competing duets are judged by five judges headed by Honored Coach of the USSR Tatiana Tarasova. The marks are given on a six-point system in the same way as in real figure skating competitions before 2005 - for technique and artistry. Oxana Domnina
Oksana Alexandrovna Domnina (russian: Оксана Александровна Домнина, born 17 August 1984) is a Russian former competitive ice dancer. She and partner Maxim Shabalin are the 2010 Olympic bronze medalists, the 2009 World Champions, the 2008 & 2010 European Champions, the 2007 Grand Prix Final champions, and three-time (2005, 2007, 2010) Russian national champions. Career Domnina began skating at the age of six in Kirov and took up ice dancing two years later due to her height. Early in her career, she competed with Ivan Lobanov and Maxim Bolotin. Partnership with Shabalin Domnina was paired with Maxim Shabalin in May 2002 by coach Alexei Gorshkov. Alexander (Sasha) Viacheslavovich Zhulin (; born 20 July 1963) is a Russian ice dancing coach and former competitor. With Maya Usova, he is a two-time Olympic medalist ( 1994 silver, 1992 bronze), the 1993 World champion, and the 1993 European champion. They also won gold medals at Skate America, NHK Trophy, Nations Cup, and Winter Universiade. They represented the Soviet Union, the Unified Team, and Russia. Competitive career Coach Natalia Dubova paired him with Maya Usova in 1980. In 1988, they made their first appearance at the European Championships, placing fourth. Elena Rudolfovna Leonova (russian: Елена Рудольфовна Леонова; born 12 July 1973) is a Russian former pair skater. Representing the Soviet Union with Gennadi Krasnitski, she won the 1987 NHK Trophy, the 1989 Skate Canada International, and two World Junior Figure Skating Championships, World Junior Championships (1986, 1987). Personal life Leonova was born on 12 July 1973 in Moscow. She married her skating partner Andrei Khvalko, with whom she has two daughters. Career As a young child, Leonova trained under Elena Loboda. With Elena Berezhnaya, he is the 1998 and 1999 World champion, 1998 Olympic silver medalist and 2002 Olympic champion. His first partner was Maria Petrova, with whom he became the 1994 and 1995 World Junior Champion. He began competing with Berezhnaya in 1996 after helping her recover from an accident with her previous partner. Within two years of the accident, Berezhnaya and Sikharulidze had established themselves as one of the best pair teams in the world. A margarita is a cocktail consisting of Tequila, triple sec, and lime juice often served with salt on the rim of the glass. The drink is served shaken with ice (on the rocks), blended with ice (frozen margarita), or without ice (straight up). The drink is generally served in a stepped-diameter variant of a cocktail glass or champagne coupe called a margarita glass. Origin The history of the margarita is one of folklore due to its numerous origin stories. According to cocktail historian David Wondrich, the margarita is related to the brandy daisy (''margarita'' is Spanish for "daisy"), remade with tequila instead of brandy.
