Ibtissam "Betty" Lachgar, also spelled Ibtissame ( ar, ابتسام لشكر) (born in August 1975) is a Moroccan developmental psychologist, feminist, human rights activist, and LGBT advocate. She's the co-founder of the MALI Movement (''Mouvement alternatif pour les libertés individuelles''). She is one of the few openly atheist Moroccans. Early life and education Born in August 1975, Ibtissam Lachgar studied in Lycée Descartes in the Moroccan capital Rabat, before moving to Paris to study clinical psychology, criminology and victimology. She is currently working on her thesis in psychoanalysis, in Paris. Activism On 23 August 2009, along with her friend Zineb El Rhazoui, she co-founded the ''Mouvement alternatif pour les libertés individuelles'' (MALI), a movement to defend individual freedoms in Morocco. Ibtissam Tiskat ar, إبتسام تسكت; zgh, ⵉⴱⵜⵉⵙⴰⵎ ⵜⵉⵙⴽⴰⵜ (born 3 October 1992) is a Moroccan songwriter who rose to popularity as a contestant in both the second season of ''Arab Idol'' and the tenth season of ''Star Academy Arab World''. She made her commercial singing debut with "N'dir Mabghit" ( ar, ندير ما بغيت) in September 2014. Career Star Academy 10 Tiskat competed in the tenth season of ''Star Academy'' where she won the title of 'Miss Star Academy'. Tiskat was nominated twice on the show. For her first nomination she was brought back by public vote, achieving the season's highest vote percentage.
