Ian Wilson (footballer Born 1958)
Ian William Wilson (born 27 March 1958) is a former Scottish international soccer, football player and football manager. Playing career Ian Wilson's first professional club was his hometown club of Aberdeen F.C. where he spent one season and never played in a competitive first team game. On having received a free transfer from Aberdeen, Ian signed for Dundee F.C. and again only lasted one season where once again he never featured in a competitive first team game. After being freed by Dundee, Ian moved to then Highland Football League club Elgin City F.C., Elgin City. In 1977, Wilson played for Elgin in a good Scottish Cup run which ended with a 3.0 defeat to Rangers F.C., Rangers at Ibrox Stadium, Ibrox. Ian also featured in a Highland Football League Select which were selected to play against Buckie Thistle F.C. to commemorate the opening of Buckie's floodlights in 1978. Ibrox Stadium
Ibrox Stadium is a football stadium on the south side of the River Clyde in the Ibrox area of Glasgow, Scotland. The home of Rangers Football Club, Ibrox is the third largest football stadium in Scotland, with an all-seated capacity of . Opened as Ibrox Park in 1899, it suffered a disaster in 1902 when a wooden terrace collapsed. Vast earthen terraces were built in its place, and a main stand, now a listed building, in 1928. A British record crowd of 118,567 gathered in January 1939 for a league match with Celtic. After the Ibrox disaster of 1971, the stadium was largely rebuilt. Full Members Cup
The Full Members' Cup was an association football cup competition held in English football from 1985 to 1992. It was also known under its sponsored names of the Simod Cup from 1987 to 1989 and the Zenith Data Systems Cup from 1989 to 1992. The competition was created after the 1985 Heysel Stadium disaster, when English clubs were banned from European competition, as an additional competition for clubs in the top two English League divisions. The competition's name refers to the clubs that were Full Members of the Football League, with full voting rights; teams from the lower two divisions were Associate Members and were only eligible for the Associate Members' Cup (now known as the EFL Trophy). The ''Evening Express'' is a daily local newspaper serving the city of Aberdeen, Scotland. History It was first published in November 1879. It was a tabloid during the 1930s to the 1950s until it resumed as a broadsheet in November 1958, six days a week. By September 1989, The Saturday edition returned to a tabloid with the broadsheet formula during the weekdays. It became a tabloid six days a week in February 1995. There was also a Saturday night paper called the Green Final which ended in June 2002 after many years in which it was printed on green paper instead of the usual white. Nagoya Grampus Eight
(formerly known as ) is a Japanese association football club that plays in the J1 League, following promotion from the J2 League in 2017. The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), officially known as Spor Toto Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish professional league for association football clubs. It is the top-flight of the Turkish football league system and is run by the Turkish Football Federation. In the 2022–23 season, nineteen clubs compete, where a champion is decided and three clubs are promoted from, and relegated to the 1. Lig.
