Ian White (born 17 August 1970), nicknamed Diamond, is an English professional darts player currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. White is the winner of 13 PDC ranking events, and has reached many quarter-finals in majors. In 2019, he reached his first major semi final. Career In 1997, White reached the final of the PDC's revived News of the World Darts Championship. He defeated Des Byrne, Gary Spedding, Peter Manley and Andy Jenkins on the way to the final, where he was defeated by Phil Taylor. White won the Antwerp Open, Denmark Open and the English National Championship in 2009. He qualified for the 2010 BDO World Darts Championship, but lost 0-3 in the first round to Stephen Bunting. Ian Samuel White (born 20 December 1935) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a half-back for Leicester City and Southampton in the 1950s and 1960s. His career started in his home city of Glasgow with Celtic, where he failed to break through into the first team, before moving to England to join Leicester City in 1958, followed by five years at Southampton, before dropping down to non-league football. Football career White was born in Glasgow and played his youth football with Port Glasgow Hibs before joining Scottish Junior club St Anthony's in 1954, followed by a move to fellow Junior club Petershill in 1955. Having played as a junior international for Scotland, he signed for Celtic in April 1956. Ian White (born June 4, 1984) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played over 500 games in the National Hockey League. In a career spanning parts of nine seasons, White suited up for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames, Carolina Hurricanes, San Jose Sharks and Detroit Red Wings. White was originally selected in the sixth round, 191st overall in the 2002 NHL Draft. He returned to professional hockey in 2022 with the Columbus River Dragons of the Federal Prospects Hockey League. On October 26, 2022, White was traded to the Motor City Rockers of the Federal Prospects Hockey League. This is a chronological list of presidents of the Methodist Conference of the Methodist Church of Great Britain and its predecessor churches. John Wesley, founder of Methodism, organised and presided over the first Methodist Conference, which was to become the church's governing body. This article lists his successors, who are elected by the Conference to serve a one-year term. Presidents follow Wesley's example in travelling the length and breadth of Great Britain, visiting and preaching in local Methodist chapels. Ian White (8 April 1945 – 27 June 2021) was a British Labour Party politician. He was a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for Bristol from 1989 to 1999. Biography White was born in South Bristol in April 1945, and trained as a solicitor. Prior to becoming an MEP he stood for the UK Parliament in the Wansdyke constituency. During his legislative terms in the European Parliament Ian White was a member of the Political Affairs Committee and the Committee on the Environmental, Public Health and Consumer Protection. He was Vice Chair of both the Delegation for relations with Switzerland and South Africa. Ian Herbert White (born November 22, 1949) is an Australian business executive currently based in Canada with the Canadian Wheat Board. The early years White was born to parents Alfred and Noelene White and sister Janelle. He grew up in the inner western suburbs of Sydney and attended Homebush Boys High School. He then went on to study Economics at University of Sydney with Honours. It was during his time at University of Sydney that he met Joan Allen whom he later married. Ian Hugh White-Thomson (18 December 1904 – 11 January 1997) was an Anglican priest and Dean of Canterbury from 1963 to 1976. The son of a former Bishop of Ely, White-Thomson was educated at Harrow School, where he was a Monitor and in the Football XI, and Brasenose. He was ordained after a period of study at Ripon College Cuddesdon in 1930 and began his career as a Curate at St Mary's, Ashford, Kent. After this he was Rector of St Martin and St Paul, Canterbury then Chaplain to three successive Archbishops of Canterbury. He was a governor of his old school from 1947 to 1962 and archdeacon of Northumberland from 1955 to 1963.
