Ian Prowse
Ian Prowse (born 10 January 1964) is an English singer-songwriter, currently frontman of Amsterdam (band), Amsterdam and previously of Pele (English band), Pele. Biography Pele Prowse formed Pele (English band), Pele in 1989 along with Dally (drums), Robbo (Hammond), Nico (violin) and Jim McCallister (bass). Signed by Michael Levy, Baron Levy in March 1991 to M&G Records/Polydor, the band went on to release two studio albums (''Fireworks'' & ''The Sport Of Kings''), one live album and six singles. Pele's singles never reached the Top 40 in the UK Singles Chart, with it being often remarked that Pele sold more of their famous primary colour T-shirts than they did records. However they scored a number one single in South Africa with "Megalomania", and had other hits in Holland, Portugal and Belgium. Chester
Chester is a cathedral city and the county town of Cheshire, England. It is located on the River Dee, close to the English–Welsh border. Baltic Triangle
The Baltic Triangle is a development area in Liverpool city centre. Liverpool City Council originally defined the area as being bounded by Liver Street, Park Lane, Parliament Street and Chaloner Street / Wapping. However, since the closure of Cains Brewery and its resurgence as Cains Brewery Village, Liverpool council have extended the Baltic Triangle area through to Hill Street. The area is home to a growing number of creative and digital businesses, which sit alongside a range of independent food and drink traders; the Baltic's Camp and Furnace was named, in 2013, by the Times as one of the top 20 coolest restaurants in Britain. Steven Douglas White (b. 31 May 1965) is an English drummer who has worked extensively with Paul Weller and The Style Council among others. Musical career White was given a small drum as a child by his uncle and upon joining his local Boys' Brigade he began to learn his craft. As with White's bandmate Paul Weller, he was given full support from his parents who went out of their way to help their son develop. White spent his youth having lessons from the late George Scott of Wanstead and learning from recordings of Buddy Rich and Louis Bellson. White later took lessons with drumming teacher Bob Armstrong at Bob's Masterclass studio, then in Hornchurch, Essex. White complemented his work gigging with local bands with part-time work, spending any spare cash on updating his collection of jazz records. Style Council
The Style Council were a British band formed in late 1982 by Paul Weller, the former singer, songwriter and guitarist with the punk rock/ new wave/mod revival band the Jam, and keyboardist Mick Talbot, previously a member of Dexys Midnight Runners, the Bureau and the Merton Parkas. The band enabled Weller to take his music in a more soulful direction. The permanent line-up grew to include drummer Steve White and Weller's then-girlfriend, vocalist Dee C. Lee. Other artists such as Tracie Young, Tracey Thorn (Everything but the Girl), and drummer/percussionist Steve Sidelnyk (who has played for Madonna, Seal, Richard Ashcroft) also performed and collaborated with the group.
