Ian McShane (footballer)
Ian McShane (born 20 December 1992) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Darvel in the Scottish Juniors, having previously played for Queen of the South, Ross County, St Mirren and Falkirk. McShane is the younger cousin of former Hamilton Academical player John McShane and is a minority shareholder in MacIntyre Sheds of Beauly. Career Queen of the South McShane is a product of the youth policy of Dumfries club Queen of the South. McShane figured in the 2010 pre-season set up for Queens before being formally announced on the club website on 25 July 2010 as having officially signed a senior player's contract along with fellow youth team players Dan Orsi, Steven Degnan and Gavin Reilly. Bellshill
Bellshill (pronounced "Bells hill") is a town in North Lanarkshire in Scotland, southeast of Glasgow city centre and west of Edinburgh. Other nearby localities are Motherwell to the south, Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Hamilton to the southwest, Viewpark to the west, Holytown to the east and Coatbridge to the north. The town of Bellshill itself (including the villages of Orbiston and Mossend) has a population of about 20,650. 2014–15 Scottish Premiership
The 2014–15 Scottish Premiership was the second season of the Scottish Premiership, the highest division of Scottish football. The season began on 9 August 2014 and ended on the 31 May 2015. Celtic were the defending champions. Twelve teams contested the league: Aberdeen, Celtic, Dundee, Dundee United, Hamilton Academical, Inverness CT, Kilmarnock, Motherwell, Partick Thistle, Ross County, St Johnstone and St Mirren. 2013–14 Scottish Premiership
The 2013–14 Scottish Premiership was the first season of the Scottish Premiership, the highest division of Scottish football. The season began on 2 August 2013 and concluded on 11 May 2014. This was the first season of the competition being part of the newly formed Scottish Professional Football League after the merger of the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish Football League. This season also featured the introduction of an end of season play-off between the 11th-placed team in the top flight and the teams placed 2nd–4th in the Scottish Championship, to determine whether a second team will be relegated from the league. The Scottish Football League Second Division was the third tier of the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The Second Division was created in 1975, as part of a wider reconstruction of the Scottish Football League (SFL). Prior to 1975, the SFL had been split into two divisions (Division One and Division Two). The effect of the reconstruction was to split these two divisions into three, with the top flight named the Premier Division, second tier the First Division, and a new third tier was created known as the Second Division.
