Ian McCurrach
Ian McCurrach (born c. 1959) is a British actor, director, journalist and author. Ian trained at The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and he is probably best known for his portrayal of the lead character of Pip in a Peter Coe production of Dickens' "Great Expectations" at the Old Vic Theatre in London in 1985 and for his weekly travel column in ''The Independent on Sunday'' since 2009. Theater and television McCurrach's acting career took him on theatre world tours to many countries, including countries such as Burma and the Oman where tourism was not permitted. His roles in theatre and TV were diverse. His interest also centred on direction and writing. In 1982, he played Newbugs in the TV series ''Young Sherlock: The Mystery of the Manor House'' opposite Andrew Johns and Michael Irwin. Pip (Great Expectations)
Philip Pirrip, called Pip, is the protagonist and narrator in Charles Dickens's novel ''Great Expectations'' (1861). He is amongst the most popular characters in English literature. Pip narrates his story many years after the events of the novel take place. The novel follows Pip's process from childhood innocence to adulthood. The financial and social rise of the protagonist is accompanied by an emotional and moral deterioration, which forces Pip to recognize his negative expectations in a new self-awareness. Characterization When the novel begins in the early 1800s, Philip is a seven-year-old orphan raised by his uncaring sister, "Mrs. Joe", who beats him regularly, and her husband Joe Gargery, a blacksmith and Pip's best friend. Tony Jay
Tony Jay (2 February 1933 – 13 August 2006) was a British actor. A former member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, he was known for his voice work in radio, animation, film, and video games. Jay was particularly noted for his distinctive baritone voice, which often led to him being cast in villainous roles. He was best known as the voice of Judge Claude Frollo in Disney's ''The Hunchback of Notre Dame'' (1996), Megabyte in ''ReBoot'' (1994–2001), Shere Khan in ''The Jungle Book 2'' and the TV series ''TaleSpin'' (replacing George Sanders who played the character in original film), and the Elder God (plus various other roles) in the ''Legacy of Kain'' series of video games.
