Ian McCoshen
Ian James McCoshen (born August 5, 1995) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman who is currently playing under contract with Ässät in the Liiga. McCoshen was selected by the Florida Panthers in the second round, 31st overall, of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Amateur Youth As a youth, McCoshen played in the 2007 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Minnesota. High school McCoshen played three seasons (2010–13) of Tier 1 junior ice hockey with the Waterloo Black Hawks of the United States Hockey League (USHL). He was selected to both the 2012 and 2013 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, and in his final season, he was further recognized for his outstanding play when he was named to the 2012–13 USHL First All-Star Team. Porin Ässät (; Finnish language, Finnish for ''Pori Aces'' or ''Aces of Pori'') is a professional ice hockey club based in the town of Pori, Finland. They play in the Finnish elite league, Liiga. Aleksi Saarela (born 7 January 1997) is a Finnish professional ice hockey forward who is currently playing with the SCL Tigers of the National League (NL). The 2014 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships (formerly called the IIHF U20 World Championship) was the 38th edition of the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship (WJHC), hosted in Malmö, Sweden. The 13,700-seat Malmö Arena was the main venue, with the smaller Malmö Isstadion the secondary venue. It began on December 26, 2013, and ended with the gold medal game on January 5, 2014. Hockey East
The Hockey East Association, also known as Hockey East, is a college ice hockey conference which operates entirely in New England. It participates in the NCAA's Division I as a hockey-only conference. Hockey East came into existence in 1984 for men's hockey when most of its current members split from what is today known as ECAC Hockey, after disagreements with the Ivy League members.
