Ian Burke
Ian Burke is a Gaelic footballer from Corofin, County Galway, who played at senior level for the Galway county team. In November 2018, Burke won an All-Star award. It was Galway's first football All-Star since 2003. Career Burke plays his club Gaelic football for Corofin. He based his style of play upon his small height, utilising quick passes and fast movement. He played in their unsuccessful Galway Senior Football Championship campaign in 2012 but became an ever present member of the Corofin team that went on to win seven Galway SFCs in a row. During this time, they also won four All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championships. Burke made his inter-county debut for Galway in 2017 against Donegal. In 2018, during Galway's 2018 Connacht Senior Football Championship success, Burke assisted in a third of all points scored by Galway. Corofin GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Corofin, County Galway, Ireland. The club serves the two parishes of Cummer and Kilmoylan and Belclare. Corofin are the 2019–20 All-Ireland Club Champions, after winning their third-successive All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship final by defeating Kilcoo of Down in January 2020. Ciarán Kilkenny (born 7 July 1993) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for the Dublin county team and as a dual player for his club Castleknock. He was previously on the playing list of Australian rules football club Hawthorn, as a rookie. He has featured on an advertising billboard campaign in India. Daithí Burke (born 16 November 1992) is an Irish hurler and Gaelic footballer who plays at senior level for the Galway county hurling team and for his clubs Turloughmore and Corofin. Burke made his debut for Galway against Laois, and was part of the team that reached the 2015 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final after defeating Tipperary in the semi-final. 2019 Connacht Senior Football Championship
The 2019 Connacht Senior Football Championship is the 120th installment of the annual Connacht Senior Football Championship organised by Connacht GAA. It is one of the four provincial competitions of the 2019 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. As of 2018 the competition winners advanced to the "All-Ireland Super 8s". The draw for the Connacht Championship was made on 12 October 2018. The winners receive the J. J. Nestor Cup, named after J. J. Nestor of Quinaltagh, County Galway. For a fourth year in a row, the final was contested between Galway and Roscommon. Roscommon were the winners of the championship, defeating Galway at Pearse Stadium in Salthill by 1-13 to 0-12.
