Ian Bruce (also known as Mr. Bruce) is a Painting, painter and the former lead singer in the DJ/MC duo The Correspondents (band), The Correspondents. He is currently the singer of a solo musical project alongside producer Angus Kemp likewise named "Mr. Bruce". Ian Bruce is also known for his creative music videos and eccentric dancing both onstage and in his music videos. Biography Ian Bruce was educated at Eton College and Edinburgh College of Art. His degree show included pictures of people in a care home, which were described by The Scotsman as 'lively and sympathetic'. While at Edinburgh, he became MC for a group of DJs called 'Trouble'. Ian Cameron Bruce (born 14 March 1947) is a British Conservative party politician, who represented South Dorset in parliament from 1987 to 2001. Life and career He attended Chelmsford Technical High School and studied Electronics at the University of Bradford, then completed an HNC in Electronics at Mid-Essex Technical College. He was a student apprentice at Marconi in Chelmsford from 1965 to 1968, and for the next five years had work study roles at that company, Pye Unicam, Sainsbury's and BEPI (part of the Pye Group). From 1973 to 1975, he was a product manager at Sinclair. Having stood for the Labour seat of Burnley in 1983, he was narrowly defeated by Labour candidate Peter Pike. He was elected as the Conservative Party Member of Parliament for South Dorset in 1987. In 1997 he won the seat with a slim majority of 77 votes, but was defeated at the 2001 general election by Jim Knight. Ian Bruce, (7 June 1933 – 21 March 2016) was a Canadian sailor. He competed at the 1960 Summer Olympics and the 1972 Summer Olympics. Along with Bruce Kirby, he invented the laser dinghy, which has been used at the Olympics since 1996. Biography Bruce was born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1933, before moving to Nassau, Bahamas after World War II. He then moved to Canada, where he attended Trinity College School in Port Hope, Ontario, before studying at McGill University in Montreal. He married his wife, Barbara, in 1958. Her brother was Donald Brittain, a film director for the National Film Board of Canada. Bruce competed at two Olympic Games. At the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, Bruce competed in the Finn event, where he finished in seventh place.
