Ian Blurton
Ian Blurton (born 1965) is a Canadian musician and record producer. Early life He was born in Champaign, Illinois in 1965, and moved to Toronto in 1973. Musical career He has been a part of Toronto's indie music scene since the early 1980s. He was playing drums in the original line-ups for Cowboy Junkies and A Neon Rome before he became the lead vocalist, guitarist and songwriter for Change of Heart.Michael Barclay, Ian A.D. C'mon (band)
C'mon was a Canadian rock band based in Toronto, known for its explosive live shows. The core members were Ian Blurton on guitar and vocals, and Katie Lynn Campbell (formerly of Nashville Pussy) on bass and vocals and with Randy Curnew and later Dean Dallas Bentley on drums. History The band was formed in 2003 by Blurton, Campbell and Curnew, and released an album of strident rock music, ''Midnight is the Answer'', in 2004. C'mon toured about Canada in 2005, travelling as far as Charlottetown. In 2006 the band toured across Canada again, including a performance in Winnipeg. The Weakerthans
The Weakerthans are an award-winning and Juno-nominated Canadian indie rock band from Winnipeg. The band, led by John K. Samson, has released four studio albums and is currently inactive. History The band was formed in 1997 in Winnipeg, Manitoba by John K. Samson, after he left the punk band Propagandhi to start a publishing company. Samson joined bassist John P. Sutton and drummer Jason Tait of Red Fisher, another band from Winnipeg's punk scene, and created The Weakerthans as a vehicle for a more melodic and introspective brand of songwriting than their previous projects. The origin of the band's name was explained, in 2004 by Samson, as having come from "a few places." Skydiggers
Skydiggers are a Canadian roots rock band from Toronto formed by Andy Maize and Josh Finlayson. Since 1990, they have released 19 albums/EPs and have had a number of singles that have appeared on the Canadian charts. Their most successful album is ''Restless'', released in 1992. Rheostatics
Rheostatics are a Canadian indie rock band. They were formed in 1978, and actively performed from 1980 until disbanding in 2007. Arise And Ruin
Arise and Ruin was a Canadian metalcore band from Guelph, Ontario. Its members were Ryan Bauchman (vocals), Ben Alexis (bass), Derek Prince-Cox (drums), and guitarists Brent Munger, Sam Pattison, and Greg Richmond. Tricky Woo was a Canadian garage punk band, based in Montreal, Quebec. Raising the Fawn is a Canadian indie rock band, with its roots in Toronto. The band is composed of John Crossingham (who is also a member of Broken Social Scene), Scott Remila and Dylan Green (who are both members of City and Colour).
