Ian Kenneth Black (born 14 March 1985) is a Scottish former professional footballer, who played as a central midfielder. His clubs included Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Heart of Midlothian, Rangers, Shrewsbury Town and Blackpool. Black made one appearance for Scotland in August 2012, despite playing at that time in the Scottish Third Division for Rangers. Club career Early career Black began as a youth player with Tranent Boys Club. He was also a youth player at Hibernian, where he played alongside Scott Brown. Black first signed a professional contract with English Premier League club Blackburn Rovers, but he did not play for their first team. Inverness Caledonian Thistle After being released by Blackburn, Black joined Inverness Caledonian Thistle in July 2004. The 2011–12 Scottish Cup was the 127th season of Scotland's most prestigious football knockout competition. The tournament began on 24 September 2011 and ended on 19 May 2012. Scott Brown (born 25 June 1985) is a Scottish professional football manager and former player who is the current manager of League One side Fleetwood Town. A former midfielder, he is widely known for his 14-year tenure with Celtic, where he was club captain for 11 years and won ten Scottish league championships. Brown started his career with Hibernian, breaking into their first team in 2002. His only trophy with Hibs was the 2006–07 Scottish League Cup; in that season he also won the SFWA Young Player of the Year award. The 2013–14 Scottish League One was the 19th season in the current format of 10 teams in the third-tier of Scottish football.
