Iain Flannigan
Iain Flannigan (born 15 January 1988) is a former Scottish professional footballer. Flannigan previously played for Kilmarnock and then went on to play for Partick Thistle, Greenock Morton and Falkirk, before a lengthy stint with Alloa Athletic. Career Flannigan started his career at Kilmarnock and debuted on 25 September 2007, as a first-half substitute in a 2–0 defeat to Hamilton Academical F.C., Hamilton Academical in the third round of the Scottish League Cup. On 6 October 2007, Flannigan's Scottish Premier League debut was as a 19 year old in a 2–2 draw versus Inverness Caledonian Thistle F.C., Inverness Caledonian Thistle. 2007–08 Scottish Premier League
The 2007–08 Scottish Premier League season was the tenth season of the Scottish Premier League. It began on 4 August 2007 and was originally due to end on 18 May 2008. Due to the death of Phil O'Donnell and extremely poor weather causing the postponement of fixtures during the winter, as well as a backlog of Rangers fixtures and their progression to the UEFA Cup Final, the SPL decided to move the final round of fixtures back four days to 22 May 2008. It was the first season under the sponsorship of the Clydesdale Bank. Gretna were promoted from the First Division the previous season and played in the SPL for the first time, replacing Dunfermline Athletic. Scottish League One
The Scottish League One, known as cinch League One for sponsorship reasons, is the third tier of the Scottish Professional Football League, the league competition for men's professional football clubs in Scotland. The Scottish League One was established in July 2013, after the Scottish Professional Football League was formed by a merger of the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Football League. Format Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. Teams are ranked by total points, then goal difference, and then goals scored. At the end of each season, the club with the most points is crowned league champion. If points are equal, the goal difference determines the winner. If this still does not result in a winner, the tied teams must take part in a playoff game at a neutral venue to determine the final placings. The 2016–17 Scottish League One (known as Ladbrokes League One for sponsorship reasons) was the 22nd season in the current format of 10 teams in the third-tier of Scottish football. 2014–15 Scottish Championship
The 2014–15 Scottish Championship is the 20th season in the current format of 10 teams in the second tier of Scottish football. Heart of Midlothian won the title on 22 March 2015 and secured their return to the Scottish Premiership with a record seven matches remaining, after Rangers defeated city rivals Hibernian 2–0. This marked the first time since the 1984-85 season that a side in the same division as an Old Firm club won a league title in Scotland. Teams Rangers were promoted as 2013–14 Scottish League One champions, whilst Heart of Midlothian were relegated from the 2013–14 Scottish Premiership. Scottish Football League First Division
The Scottish Football League First Division was the second tier in the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The First Division was introduced in 1975–76 to replace the old Scottish Football League Division Two, as the top flight of the Scottish Football League was renamed from Division One to Premier Division. In 1998, the Premier Division clubs broke away from the Scottish Football League to form the Scottish Premier League.
