I Want To Hold Aono-kun So Badly I Could Die
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Umi Shiina. It has been serialized in Kodansha's ''Monthly Afternoon'' since December 2016. A live-action television series adaptation aired from March to May 2022 on WOWOW. Plot Yūri Kariya is a female high-school student who starts a relationship with another student, Ryūhei Aono, from the next class. However, two weeks later, Aono dies in a car accident. When, distraught, Yūri attempts to commit suicide, Aono appears to her as a ghost, and tells her that he will be there for her, and not to die, and Yūri accepts. They continue their "relationship," with Yūri pretending to be talking on the phone around people so as to continue talking with him. One day, Yūri suggests that Aono should try possession. is an annual award for serialized manga published in the previous year, the event is sponsored by the publisher Kodansha. It is currently awarded in three categories: '' shōnen'', '' shōjo'', and general. The awards began in 1977, initially with categories for ''shōnen'' and ''shōjo''. The first award for the general category was in 1982, and the first children's category's award was in 2003. The children's category was merged into the ''shōnen'' and ''shōjo'' categories starting in 2015. The Japan Media Arts Festival is an annual festival held since 1997 by Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs. The festival begins with an open competition and culminates with the awarding of several prizes and an exhibition. Based on judging by a jury of artistic peers, awards are given in four categories: Art (formerly called Non-Interactive Digital Art), Entertainment (formerly called Interactive Art; including video games and websites), animation, and manga.
