I Rise
I Rise is an American hardcore punk band from Worcester, Massachusetts, United States. They released an album, an EP, and a split EP on 1917 Records, and Eightfold Path Records, and toured extensively throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. The current band members include vocalist Nicky Kantarelis, guitarist Alex Kantarelis, bassist Chris Berg, and drummer Ben Bassett. History 2007: ''Down'', Soul Control split EP, and demo The band formed in 2007, playing their first show at the Hudson Roller Kingdom, in Hudson, Massachusetts on New Years Day. Hardcore Punk
Hardcore punk (also known as simply hardcore) is a punk rock music genre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. It is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock. Its roots can be traced to earlier punk scenes in San Francisco and Punk rock in California, Southern California which arose as a reaction against the still predominant History of the hippie movement, hippie cultural climate of the time. ''Youth Attack'' is an American straight edge hardcore punk band from Worcester, Massachusetts. In 4 years, they released two EPs, one LP, and a DVD. History The band was formed by Drummer Nicky Kantarelis, and Vocalist Jeff Hunter when they were only 13 and 14 years old respectfully. After self releasing a demo on cassette, they released an EP that came out via Cadmium Sick Records in the United States, and Soviet State Records in Europe. The band was then signed to Think Fast! Records, and released the EP ''Break the Ice.'' They achieved notoriety for their live shows, mainly vocalist Jeff Hunter's wild persona, and sometimes offensive antics on stage. Four Year Strong is an American pop punk band from Worcester, Massachusetts, formed in 2001. The group consists of vocalists and guitarists Dan O'Connor and Alan Day, bassist Joe Weiss, and drummer Jake Massucco. They have released seven studio albums; their most recent album, '' Brain Pain'', was released on February 28, 2020, through Pure Noise Records. Verse (band)
Verse was an American hardcore punk band from Providence, Rhode Island. They released three full-length albums and an EP on Rivalry and Bridge 9 Records and conducted a number of full U.S. tours. The band broke up in 2009, but reformed in December 2011. Bassist Chris Berg played in Mountain Man (punk band), Mountain Man, which features former members Patrick Murphy (Drums) and Jesse Menard (Guitar) of Last Lights and I Rise. Down to Nothing (or DTN) was a straight edge hardcore punk band from Richmond, Virginia. Since their inception in 2000, the band has toured all over the world. Have Heart was an American straight edge hardcore punk band formed in New Bedford, Massachusetts in 2002. The band recorded a demo that was released in 2003. In 2004, they released the ''What Counts'' EP ( Think Fast! Records), with their debut full-length, '' The Things We Carry'' (Bridge Nine Records) arriving in 2006. Bane (band)
Bane was an American hardcore punk band that began in 1995 as a side project between Aaron Dalbec (then of Converge) and Damon Bellorado. Dalbec approached Matt Firestone to sing and they played under the moniker of Gateway for a few shows, before Firestone parted ways to focus on other projects. Dalbec then approached Aaron Bedard (who had previously sung for the Worcester, Massachusetts hardcore band Backbone) about singing for Bane. They went into the studio in December 1995 with a few friends and released a five-song demo. The next year saw the release of their first EP, and many shows throughout central Massachusetts. In early 1997, Bane released ''Free to Think, Free to Be'' EP, and in 1998 the band released the '' Holding This Moment'' 7" and CD collection, and embarked upon their first US tour.
