''I Like Only You'' (French: ''Je n'aime que toi'') is a 1949 French comedy film directed by Pierre Montazel, and starring by Luis Mariano, Martine Carol and André Le Gall. Synopsis Irène is married to the celebrated singer Renaldo Cortez who is completely devoted to his work. Frustrated she goes off with another man and Renaldo enlists the help of his faithful friend Arthur to return her to him so they can reconcile. Roger Pierre (30 August 1923 – 23 January 2010) was a French comedian and actor. Early life Roger Pierre was born on 30 August 1923 in Paris, France. Career Pierre and Jean-Marc Thibault were one of France's most popular comedy acts. Working regularly throughout the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, Pierre's first film was 1953's ''"Belle mentalité'' (''Wonderful Mentality''). He appeared in such comedies as ''Mary Mary'' (1963), ''Who Is This Woman?'' (1967), ''The Sole Heir'' (1980), ''Mr Masure'' (1987), ''The Night of Barbizon'' and ''The Tureen'' (2001). In 1973, Pierre and Thibault starred in the 1973 comedic television series ', which parodied the 1972 TV adaptation of ''Les Rois maudits''. Jean Carmet (25 April 1920 – 20 April 1994) was a French actor. Life and career Jean Carmet began working on stage and then in film in the early 1940s becoming a very popular comedic actor in his native country. He is best known internationally for his role as a French colonist in the 1976 film, '' La Victoire en Chantant'' (Black and White in Color). Because of his good-natured manner, he was as popular with members of the film crew as he was with the audiences. During his long career, he appeared in more than 200 films, and although he played dramatic parts, he usually acted in a supporting role as a comedic character.
