''I Have a Date with Spring'' () is a 1994 Hong Kong film directed by Clifton Ko and written by Raymond To. It is originally a 1992 play with the same name by Ko Tin Lung. Synopsis The movie takes place in modern times when Butterfly returns from retirement in Canada to perform in a final charity show at the Flower Palace Nightclub before it is demolished. The film takes place in a continuing flashback of one fateful night in 1967 at the Flower Palace Nightclub. The film follows the lives of a 1960s girl group called "The 4 Nuts". On the night of the Hong Kong 1967 Leftist Riots, Butterfly Yiu was given an accidental chance to perform the final show when the original and star performer, Pak Long, was stranded at another venue. Clifton Ko
Clifton Ko (; born 6 August, 1958) is a Hong Kong film director, actor, producer and scriptwriter. Background Clifton Ko graduated from Kwun Tong Maryknoll College, and entered TV and film industry in late 1970s, firstly worked with director Clifford Choi. In this period he wrote Choi's ''No U-Turn'' (1981) and ''Teenage Dreamers'' (), and John Woo's comedy ''Once a Thief''. In 1982 Ko entered Raymond Wong (film presenter), Raymond Wong's the newly founded Cinema City & Films Co., and directed his first film ''The Happy Ghost'' in 1984. David Wu (born April 8, 1955) is an American politician who served as the U.S. representative for from 1999 to 2011. He is a member of the Democratic Party. As a child of immigrants from Taiwan, Wu was the first Taiwanese American to serve in the House of Representatives.
