The group originally consisted of El DeBarge, El, Mark DeBarge, Mark, Randy DeBarge, Randy, and Bunny DeBarge, Bunny. James DeBarge, James joined the group a year later for their second album. Bobby DeBarge, Bobby and Chico DeBarge, Chico joined in 1987 and 1988 respectively, replacing Bunny and El. DeBarge released six studio albums, four of them with Motown subsidiary Gordy Records. These albums included ''The DeBarges'' (1981), ''All This Love (album), All This Love'' (1982), ''In a Special Way'' (1983), and ''Rhythm of the Night (album), Rhythm of the Night'' (1985). Bad Boys (DeBarge Album)
''Bad Boys'' is the fifth and final studio album released by R&B group DeBarge in 1987, after both El DeBarge and Bunny DeBarge had left the lineup. When El and Bunny DeBarge left the group, remaining members James, Mark and Randy left Motown Records after a seven-year tenure in 1986 and signed with the local Striped Horse label. They then called on eldest brother Bobby (formerly of the group Switch) to join the lineup and produce their album. With James and Bobby DeBarge now alternating as the lead vocalists, the group released the album in 1987 and released two singles: " Dance All Night", which became the group's last R&B hit, peaking at number 33, and the ballad "I Got You Babe", which fizzled at number 73. Contemporary R&B (or simply R&B) is a popular music genre that combines rhythm and blues with elements of pop, soul, funk, hip hop, and electronic music. Bobby DeBarge
Robert Louis DeBarge, Jr. (March 5, 1956 – August 16, 1995) was an American singer and musician. DeBarge was the lead singer of the Motown R&B/soul vocal group Switch and was noted for his falsetto vocals. Later on, he served as both mentor and a co-producer of his siblings' band, DeBarge, eventually joining them to fill in for departing members El and Bunny. Personal problems, including substance abuse which eventually led to drug trafficking charges in 1988, plagued DeBarge in later years, taking focus away from his musical career. He contracted HIV in the 1980s, and died of AIDS complications in 1995, at age 39.
