I Found Love
"I Found Love" is a song recorded by English girl group Bananarama. The song was released as a promotional single only in Japan as a double-A-side with "Every Shade of Blue". Background The instrumental track was composed by Japanese dance producer Tetsuya Komuro while group members Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward wrote lyrics and recorded their vocals over it. Bananarama didn't like the result, so they asked their producer Gary Miller to remix it. Miller's mix was issued as the A-side of the "I Found Love" single, as the "ROZI Mix". Bananarama are an English pop duo from London, formed as a trio in 1980 by friends Sara Dallin, Siobhan Fahey and Keren Woodward. Fahey left the group in 1988 and was replaced by Jacquie O'Sullivan until 1991, when the trio became a duo. Their success on both pop and dance charts saw them listed in the ''Guinness World Records'' for achieving the world's highest number of chart entries by an all-female group. Between 1982 and 2009, they had 30 singles reach the Top 50 of the UK Singles Chart. The group's UK top-10 hits include " It Ain't What You Do..." Ultra Violet (Bananarama Album)
''Ultra Violet'' and ''I Found Love'' are two titles given to the seventh studio album released by English group Bananarama in 1995. Originally released in Japan only, with the title ''I Found Love'', the album was renamed and repackaged as ''Ultra Violet'' in other countries, including the United States, Australia, Canada, and continental Europe, where it was marketed either at the same time or in the following years. Neither ''Ultra Violet'' nor ''I Found Love'' was released in the United Kingdom, where the band had not had any hits since their 1993 cover of "More, More, More" (and would not again until 2005 with the single " Move in My Direction"). Sara Dallin
Sara Elizabeth Dallin (born 17 December 1961) is an English singer and a founding member of the pop group Bananarama. The group has achieved 28 UK top 50 and 11 US top 100 singles, including a US number one with "Venus" (1986). Other hits include " Cruel Summer" (1983), "I Heard a Rumour" (1987) and " Love in the First Degree" (1987). Dallin and bandmate Keren Woodward are the only performers to appear on both the 1984 and 1989 Band Aid versions of "Do They Know It's Christmas?" Keren Woodward
Keren Jane Woodward (born 2 April 1961) is an English singer and, with Sara Dallin and Siobhan Fahey, a founding member of the girl group Bananarama. In 1986, the trio reached number one on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 with their version of "Venus". Woodward and Dallin are the only constant members of Bananarama, and both have been a part of the group for over 40 years since 1979. Early life Woodward is a classically-trained pianist; she sang in choirs and performed in amateur dramatics with Dallin, whom she has known since childhood. After leaving school, Woodward worked at the BBC in Portland Place, London. Career Woodward formed Bananarama with Dallin and Fahey, releasing their first single " Aie a Mwana" in 1981. is a Japanese musician, songwriter and record producer. He is recognized as the most successful producer in Japanese music history and introduced contemporary electronic dance music to the Japanese mainstream. He was also a former owner of the disco Velfarre located in Roppongi, Tokyo. In the Oricon singles chart of April 1996, he monopolized all the top 5 positions as the songwriter and producer, a world record. In 1995, he monopolized all top 3 positions of the copyright distribution rankings for the JASRAC Award, a record in Japan's music history. A girl group is a music act featuring several female singers who generally harmonize together. The term "girl group" is also used in a narrower sense in the United States to denote the wave of American female pop music singing groups, many of whom were influenced by doo-wop and which flourished in the late 1950s and early 1960s between the decline of early rock and roll and start of the British Invasion. The A-side and B-side are the two sides of phonograph records and cassettes; these terms have often been printed on the labels of two-sided music recordings. "Every Shade of Blue" is a 1995 song by English musical duo Bananarama, from their seventh album, ''Ultra Violet''. Originally released in Japan as a double A-side with " I Found Love", the track was gradually released throughout 1995 and 1996 in several different countries – each time on a different independent dance label, as Bananarama did not have a major-label contract at the time. Their native United Kingdom did not get a release of this single or the ''Ultra Violet'' album. The sentiments and sound of the song are melancholic and diverge from the upbeat nature of the majority of their hits. "Every Shade of Blue" reached number 124 in Australia and number 41 on ''Billboard''s Hot Dance Singles Sales chart in the United States. In 2010, Bananarama re-recorded the song.
