I Didn't Know
"I Didn't Know" is a song by Turkish singer, producer and television presenter Serhat. The song was composed by Olcayto Ahmet Tuğsuz with the lyrics written by Nektarios Tyrakis. It was released on 9 March 2016, and represented San Marino in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. Later in March it was decided that the original version would be replaced by the disco version in the contest. The song will be performed by Serhat, who was selected internally by the Sammarinese national broadcaster San Marino RTV (SMRTV) to represent San Marino in the 2016 contest in Stockholm, Sweden. Serhat represented San Marino performing in the first semi-final held on May 10, but failed to qualify to the May 14, 2016 final. In 2018, the song was recorded with American singer Martha Wash. Serhat (singer)
Ahmet Serhat Hacıpaşalıoğlu (born October 24, 1964), known as Serhat, is a Turkish singer, songwriter, composer, producer and television presenter. Born and raised in Istanbul, Serhat started his producing career by establishing his own company in 1994, End Productions. In the same year, he also started to produce and host a quiz show on TRT called '' Riziko!'' (Turkish version of the American quiz show ''Jeopardy!''). In 1997, with his first single, "Rüya-Ben Bir Daha", his musical career began. San Marino participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, held in Stockholm, Sweden. The Sammarinese national broadcaster Radiotelevisione della Repubblica di San Marino (SMRTV) internally selected Turkish singer Serhat with "I Didn't Know" to represent the nation in the contest. The song was written by Olcayto Ahmet Tuğsuz and Nektarios Tyrakis and was presented to the public on 9 March 2016 alongside its music video. Martha Elaine Wash (born December 28, 1953) is an American singer-songwriter, actress, and producer.
