I Chose Love
''I Chose Love'' (French: ''J'ai choisi l'amour'', Italian: ''Ho scelto l'amore'') is a 1953 French-Italian comedy film directed by Mario Zampi and starring Renato Rascel and Marisa Pavan. It was shot at the Cinecittà studios in Rome. Plot Boris Popovic, third class undersecretary, accompanies the head of the delegation Ivan Ivanovic and two other delegates to Italy to participate in the Feast of the Brotherhood. Fearful and suspicious of anyone, he has with him a precious "symbol" to be absolutely hidden from the eyes of the curious, a white dove locked in a cage. During a stop on the train, a gust of wind takes away his hat where he has hidden all his money: he goes down to retrieve it, but his sudden departure separates him from the rest of the delegation. The hat with the money is recovered by Mario, an aspiring sacristan accompanied by a priest in the convent, who chases it in vain to try to return it: thanks to a ride in the car, he ends up in Venice but finds himself lost ...

Mario Zampi
Mario Zampi (1 November 19032 December 1963) was an Italian film producer and director. A co-founder of Two Cities Films, a British production company, he is most closely associated with British comedies of the 1950s. Biography Zampi began his career as an actor in Italy at the age of 17. By 1930, he was working for Warner Bros. as a film editor in London. In 1937, he and compatriot Filippo Del Giudice founded Two Cities Films. While the company was noted for such serious films as ''In Which We Serve'', ''Henry V (1944 film), Henry V'', and ''Hamlet (1948 film), Hamlet'', Zampi is most remembered for comedies. Carlo Mazzarella
Carlo Mazzarella (30 July 1919 – 7 March 1993) was an Italian actor and journalist. Life and career Born in Genoa, Mazzarella enrolled in the Silvio d’Amico Academy of Dramatic Arts, graduating in 1942. Almost immediately he debuted on stage, working with Anna Proclemer and Sergio Tofano, among others. In the aftermath of the Second World War, Mazzarella started a prolific film career as a character actor. In 1955 he started a new career as a television journalist for RAI TV, specializing on news about costume, theater and cinema, and gradually abandoning his acting career. He retired in 1985. Mazzarella died of lung cancer at the age of 73. Frederick Valk
Frederick Valk (10 June 1895 – 23 July 1956) was a German-born Jewish stage and screen actor of Czech Jewish descent who fled to the United Kingdom in the late 1930s to escape Nazi persecution, and subsequently became a naturalised British citizen. Despite making his later career in the English-speaking world, Valk never attempted to shed his heavy accent in either his stage or film work, and it became a trademark, particularly in film where he was often the first choice for a role which called for a German or generic Central European accent. Gianni Rizzo (1925–1992) was an Italian film actor. Between 1944 and 1986 he appeared in over seventy films and television productions, in a variety of supporting roles. Giulio Calì (26 March 1895 – 20 January 1967) was an Italian film actor. He appeared in more than 60 films between 1927 and 1966.
