"I Apologize" is a song by American recording artist Anita Baker, released in 1994 as the second single from her fifth album, '' Rhythm of Love'' (1994). The song peaked at number eight on the US '' Billboard'' Hot R&B Singles chart and number 74 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. It won her a Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. Anita Denise Baker (born January 26, 1958) is an American singer-songwriter. She is one of the most popular singers of soulful ballads, especially renowned for her work during the height of the quiet storm period in the 1980s. Starting her career in the late 1970s with the funk band Chapter 8, Baker released her first solo album, '' The Songstress'', in 1983. In 1986, she rose to stardom following the release of her Platinum-selling second album, ''Rapture'', which included the Grammy-winning single " Sweet Love". , Baker has won eight Grammy Awards and has four Platinum albums, along with two Gold albums. The ''Knoxville News Sentinel, also known as Knox News,'' is a daily newspaper in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States, owned by the Gannett Company. History The newspaper was formed in 1926 from the merger of two competing newspapers: ''The Knoxville News'' and ''The Knoxville Sentinel''. Jungle is a genre of dance music that developed out of the UK rave scene and sound system culture in the 1990s.
