I Am The Avalanche (album)
''I Am the Avalanche'' is the debut album by I Am the Avalanche and was released on September 27, 2005 on Drive-Thru Records. The release date marks the two-year anniversary of the break-up of singer Vinnie Caruana's previous band, The Movielife. Release In June and July 2005, the band played a few headlining shows, before supporting Head Automatica and Gym Class Heroes on separate stints. Following this, they appeared on a week's worth of East Coast Warped Tour shows. The band released a split single with the Early November that featured an acoustic version of "I Took a Beating" and new song "New Disaster". They went on a two-week US tour in August 2005 with Silverstein, Scary Kids Scaring Kids and Evergreen Terrace. Following this, I Am the Avalanche went on a cross-country US tour with Bayside, June, and the Forecast, running into October 2005. Warped Tour
The Warped Tour was a traveling rock tour that toured the United States plus three or four stops in Canada annually each summer from 1995 until 2019. It was the largest traveling music festival in the United States and the longest-running touring music festival to date in North America. Following the first Warped Tour, the skateboard shoe manufacturer Vans became the tour’s main sponsor, when it then became known as the Vans Warped Tour. Vans toured Australia in 1998-2002 and again in 2013. Although Vans continued as main sponsor and lent its name to the festival, other sponsors also participated, with stages or other aspects of the festival being named after them on occasion. The Starting Line is an American pop punk band based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, that formed in 1999. History Early years (1999–2001) In 1999, the band that would become The Starting Line was initiated in Churchville, Pennsylvania via an e-mail from guitarist Matthew "Matt" K. Watts to vocalist/bassist Kenny Vasoli. It asked if the 14-year-old Vasoli, who was at that time in a band called Smash Adams, was interested in "Jamming and shit", as the message title read. Hot Rod Circuit (HRC) is an American emo band from Auburn, Alabama, established in 1997. History Early years The band was originally known as ''Antidote'' under which they released the album ''Mr. Glenboski'', which won the group the award of ''Best Unsigned Band of 1998'' by Musician Magazine. The band subsequently moved to Connecticut and released ''If I Knew Now What I Knew Then'' under their present moniker.
