I Am Kalam
''I Am Kalam'' is a 2011 Indian Hindi-language drama film produced by the non-governmental charity Smile Foundation and directed by Nila Madhab Panda, cinematography by Mohana Krishna. The character of Chhotu has been performed by Harsh Mayar. The film was screened in the market section at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival on 12 May 2010. It has been showcased in various film festivals and has received many awards and honours. Nila Madhab Panda
Nila Madhab Panda (born 18 October 1973) is an Indian film producer and director. Panda has produced and directed over 70 films, documentaries and shorts based on social issues such as climate change, child labor, education, water issues, sanitation and many other developmental issues in India. Most of his films draw inspiration from his own life, having won several awards and critical acclaim for his films which have been received as entertaining yet socially relevant. Early life Panda hails from Dasharajpur Village, in Subarnapur District of Western Odisha, the youngest of five siblings. Education in a rural Indian village meant a school with no building, and walking 4-9 km daily. In 1995, after failing to graduate, Panda left Delhi and landed the job of a camera attendant. Harsh Mayar
Harsh Mayar is an Indian actor working in Hindi Bollywood films. He won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his work in 2011 film '' I Am Kalam''. ''I Am Kalam'' Mayar started his career in 2005 when he was only eight years old. He joined Shri Ram Center in Delhi with the support of his uncle Sunil Kumar because his parents were not able to afford the fee of his acting classes. During that time, he played 5–6 stage shows. Afterwards he gave 180 auditions for singing, dancing and acting. 57th Filmfare Awards
The 57th Filmfare Awards were held on 29 January 2012 at Film City, Mumbai honoring the best film of 2011 from the Hindi-language film industry (commonly known as Bollywood). The ceremony was jointly hosted by Shahrukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. Incidentally, both of them have hosted the award ceremonies previously but with different co-hosts (Khan with Saif Ali Khan, Kapoor with Imran Khan), hence making it the first time for this pair to host the show. Aravindan Puraskaram (Aravindan Award) is an award instituted in 1991 in the memory of iconic Malayalam filmmaker G. Aravindan for the best debutant director in Indian languages. Minsk International Film Festival "Listapad"
Listapad ( be, Лістапад, ''meaning "November"''), also known as Minsk International Film Festival (MIFF) or Minsk International Film Festival Listapad, is an annual film festival which takes place in November in Minsk, Belarus. It is the largest such festival in Belarus. History The inaugural festival was held in 1994, at a time when Belarus had just gained independence and had fallen out of the world and post- Soviet film industry. Serhey Artimovich, the director of Tele-ARS studio, came up with the idea for the festival.
