''Iza'' is an album recorded by Izabella Scorupco, featuring (among others), Roxette and Gyllene Tider drummer Micke Andersson. The album features several covers. "Substitute" is a cover of a 1975 song by The Righteous Brothers that was covered by many performers, among them Swedish 1970s superstars Streaplers in 1978. "Rocks Off" was written by Norwegian singer Aina with two co-writers for her 1988 solo album "Living in a Boy's World". Single and bonus track "Shame Shame Shame" is a cover of a 1974 hit by Shirley & Company while "I Write You a Love Song" is an Ole Evenrude song that was also recorded earlier with different, Swedish lyrics by Leif Bloms and Helene & Gänget. Izabella Scorupco
Izabella Scorupco (born Izabela Dorota Skorupko; 4 June 1970) is a Polish-born Swedish actress, singer and model. She is best known for having played Bond girl Natalya Simonova in the 1995 James Bond film ''GoldenEye''. She is also known for her cover of the Shirley & Company song " Shame, Shame, Shame" which was released in 1992 and became a European hit. Life Scorupco was born to Lech, a musician, and Magdalena Skorupko, a doctor, in Białystok, Poland, in 1970. When she was one year old, her parents separated, and she remained with her mother. In 1978, they moved to Bredäng in Stockholm, Sweden, where Scorupco learned to speak Swedish, English and French. On 25 December 1996, Scorupco married Polish ice hockey player Mariusz Czerkawski. With lyrics in Swedish by Mona Gustafsson, as "Jag sjunger för dig", the song was recorded by Leif Bloms, releasing it as a 1991 single. and by Helene & gänget, which the same year was released as a B-side for the single ''En enkel resa''. The song was also recorded by Charlotte Nilsson in 1999 on her solo album ''Charlotte'', and by Barbados in the year 2000 on the album '' When the Summer is Gone''. The Leif Bloms version failed to enter Svensktoppen ''Svensktoppen'' () is a weekly record chart airing at Sveriges Radio. Until January 2003, the songs had to be in the Swedish language. Sverigetopplistan (, lit. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and known by its current name since October 2007, based on sales data from the Swedish Recording Industry Association (in Swedish Grammofonleverantörernas förening). Before Topplistan, music sales in Sweden were recorded by Kvällstoppen, whose weekly chart was a combined albums and singles list. History For the period of 1976 to 2006, the official Swedish music charts were published by Sveriges Radio P3, a station owned by Sveriges Radio. At the end of 2006, it stopped publishing the general charts, which were entrusted to Swedish Recording Industry Association in the beginning of 2007. Tony Macaulay (born Anthony Gordon Instone; 21 April 1944) is an English author, composer for musical theatre, and songwriter. He has won the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors Award twice as 'Songwriter of the Year' (1970 and 1977). He is a nine time Ivor Novello Awards winning songwriter. In 2007, he became the only British person to win the Edwin Forrest Award for outstanding contribution to the American theatre. John Barry Mason (12 July 1935 – 16 April 2021) was an English singer and songwriter. A leading songwriter of the 1960s, he wrote the bulk of his most successful songs in partnership with Les Reed. Mason gained many gold and platinum awards for his work including five Ivor Novello Awards, the most recent of them in 1998. Willie Wilson (born John Andrew Wilson, 8 July 1947) is an English rock drummer, known for his work with Pink Floyd and his long-time association with their guitarist, David Gilmour. Music career In April 1966, Wilson joined Jokers Wild, a Cambridge band that included his friend David Gilmour on guitar, and later, Rick Wills (subsequently of Foreigner and Bad Company) on bass. In mid-1967, the band travelled to France. The trio performed under the band name Flowers, then Bullitt, but were not successful. After hearing their uninspired covers of contemporary chart hits, club owners were reluctant to pay them, and soon after their arrival in Paris, thieves stole their equipment. When Bullitt returned to England later that year, they were so impoverished that their van was completely empty of petrol and they had to push it off the ferry. Rolf Graf (28 April 1960 in Oslo, Norway – 1 July 2013 in Oslo) was a Norwegian singer, bass guitarist, composer and record producer, and the younger brother of keyboardist Haakon Graf (b. 21 March 1955) and the jazz singer Randi Elisabeth Graf (b. 12 September 1966). He is best known as the bassist in the band Lava, but was also recognized as music producer, musician and songwriter for other artists like Randy Crawford, Mezzoforte and Sissel Kyrkjebø.
