IWRG Intercontinental Lightweight Championship
The IWRG Intercontinental Lightweight Championship is a singles professional wrestling championship promoted by International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) since May 2008. The official definition of the Lightweight class in Mexico is between and , but are not always strictly enforced. The Lightweight championship is considered a secondary championship in IWRG, with the IWRG Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship being considered the primary championship of the promotion. Spider Fly is the current champion, having defeated Aster Boy on November 24, 2022 at Torneo Fill 101. Spider Fly is the 18th overall champion and the 17th person to have held the championship. International Wrestling Revolution Group
International Wrestling Revolution Group (Grupo Internacional Revolución in Spanish; the Spanish name is used for the promotion while the English initials are used for the title governing body) is a Lucha Libre promotion based in Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. Founded in 1996 by Adolfo Moreno and since Moreno's death in late 2007 has been controlled by his sons Alfredo and Marco Moreno. IWRG has its own championships but like many Mexican promotions recognize champions from other promotions, occasionally allowing them to defend those titles on IWRG shows. In recent times the company has become a more direct competitor to Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and Asistencia Asesoria y Administracion (AAA), acquiring a national television deal with TV Azteca and using a number of talent that have left CMLL or AAA to bolster their ranks and profile. The Caravana de Campeones (2009), Spanish for "Caravan of Champions", was a major professional wrestling show produced and scripted by the Mexican ''Lucha libre'' promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG). The event took place on March 15, 2008 in IWRG's main arena Arena Naucalpan. The 2009 event was the second overall show IWRG has held under the '' Caravana de Campeones'' banner. The show featured a total of five matches, four of which were for championships. The Arena Naucalpan 34th Anniversary Show was an annual professional wrestling major event produced by Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), which took place on December 22, 2011 in Arena Naucalpan, Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. The show celebrated the 34th Anniversary of the construction of Arena Naucalpann, IWRG's main venue, in December 1977. Sergio Marca (born January 18, 1987) is a Mexican ''luchador'', or professional wrestler known as Carta Brava Jr., currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) portraying a ''rudo'' ("bad guy") wrestling character. He is the son of the original Carta Brava and actually has a brother who uses the same name and mask, working as "Carta Brava Jr." as well. His name is Spanish for Fight Card. Dinamic Black (born June 25, 1992) is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) portraying a '' tecnico'' ("Good guy") wrestling character. Dinamic Black's real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans. Canis Lupus (wrestler)
Héctor Juan López Vieyra (born November 25, 1984) is a Mexican ''luchador'' (or professional wrestler) who is best known for his time with International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) under the ring name Canis Lupus. He has previously worked under the ring name Comando Negro from 2009 to 2012. Near the end of 2012, López took over the Canis Lupus character when the first wrestler to use the name was replaced by IWRG. The Guerra Revolucionaria (2009) (Spanish for "Revolutionary War") show was the first of a series of major professional wrestling events produced and scripted by the Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) under the name ''Guerra Revolucionaria''. The event took place on March 29, 2009 in Arena Naucalpan, Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. The main event of the show was a 20-man Battle Royal where the eliminated wrestlers would all remain at ringside, act as "Lumberjacks" to ensure none of the participants left the ring.
