IWRG 20th Anniversary Show
The IWRG 20th Anniversary Show was a major ''lucha libre'' event produced and scripted by the Mexican International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) professional wrestling promotion on January 3, 2016. The show was held in Arena Naucalpan, Naucalpan, State of Mexico, which is IWRG's primary venue. As the name indicates the event commemorates the anniversary of IWRG, which was founded on January 1, 1996. The main event of the IWRG 20th Anniversary Show was a ''Lucha de Apuestas'', or "bet match" where both Toscano and Danny Casas put their hair on the line. Toscano lost the match and as a result had all his hair shaved off afterwards. The show included four additional matches. Danny Casas
Danny Casas (born July 13, 1986) is a third-generation professional wrestler from Mexico. His real name is Carlos Daniel Rodríguez Casas and his nickname is "El Hampon." His grandfather, Pepe Casas, started the Casas professional wrestling tradition and has been followed by his uncles José Casas Ruiz (Negro Casas), Jorge Luis Casas Ruiz (El Felino) and Erick Francisco Casas Ruiz ( Heavy Metal). Universal Wrestling Association
The Universal Wrestling Association (UWA) was a Mexican ''Lucha Libre'' or professional wrestling promotion based in Naucalpan, Mexico State that operated from 1975 until 1995. The name of the actual promotion was Lucha Libre Internacional (LLI) ("International wrestling") but outside of Mexico it is generally referred to as the UWA as it was the name of the fictional international sanctioning body that in storyline terms oversaw all championships promoted by the UWA. The company was founded by wrestler and trainer Ray Mendoza, promoter Francisco Flores and investor Benjamín Mora, Jr. as when they broke away from Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre to form their own promotion. Francisco Javier Pozas (born February 3, 1964) is a Mexican professional wrestler, or luchador, who is best known under the ring name El Pantera, but has also worked as Pantera II, El Manaya, América, Tritón and TANAKA over the years. Los Tortugas Ninjas
''Las Tortugas Ninja'' (Spanish for "The Ninja Turtles") is a Mexican ''lucha libre'' (professional wrestling) '' técnico'', those that portray the "good guys", group also known as a stable, currently working for International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG). The group was created in late 2014 when IWRG gave four of their wrestlers ring characters based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters. Initially the group consisted of Leo (based on Leonardo), Mike (Michelangelo), Rafy (Raphael) and Teelo (Donatello). In 2015 the wrestler who portrayed the "Leo" character was replaced and in 2018 Teelo left the group to form a rival faction known as ''Las Tortugas Negras'' ("The Black Turtles"; Teelo, Ra-Zhata, and Shil-Kah). Javier Espinosa Romero (born December 30, 1973) is a Mexican ''luchador'', or masked professional wrestler best known under the ring name Tony Rivera. As Rivera he is currently working on the Mexican professional wrestling independent circuit portraying a '' tecnico'' ("Good guy") wrestling character. Rivera worked for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) for over 10 years, followed by him working on the Mexican independent circuit, particularly for International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) and International Wrestling League (IWL). Fuerza Guerrera Nueva Generación (sometimes "Fuerza Guerrera NG") is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG). In professional wrestling, a face (babyface) is a heroic, "good guy" or "fan favorite" wrestler, booked (scripted) by the promotion with the aim of being cheered by fans, and acts as a protagonist to the heels, who are the villainous antagonist or "bad guy" characters. Traditionally, they wrestle within the rules and avoid cheating (in contrast to the villains who use illegal moves and call in additional wrestlers to do their work for them) while behaving positively towards the referee and the audience. Heel (professional Wrestling)
In professional wrestling, a heel (also known as a ''rudo'' in '' lucha libre'') is a wrestler who portrays a villain, "bad guy", or "rulebreaker", and acts as an antagonist to the faces, who are the heroic protagonist or "good guy" characters. Not everything a heel wrestler does must be villainous: heels need only to be booed or jeered by the audience to be effective characters, although most truly successful heels embrace other aspects of their devious personalities, such as cheating to win or using foreign objects.
