IWA Mid-South Hardcore Championship
The IWA Mid-South Hardcore Championship was a short-lived title in the IWA Mid-South promotion based in Louisville, Kentucky. The title first appeared in 1999, when Mad Man Pondo defeated "The Human Wrecking Ball" Pete Madden (who brought the title with him to the IWA (any lineage and history of the title before this date is unknown). The title was in use until March 4, 2000 when the IWA Mid-South Heavyweight Champion 2 Tuff Tony defeated both Mad Man Pondo and the Hardcore Champion Delilah Starr in a three-way title unification Fans Bring the Weapons match. Kevin Canady
Kevin Canady (born June 24, 1969) is an American professional wrestler better known by his ring name Mad Man Pondo. Best known for his hardcore wrestling style, Canady has wrestled for various wrestling promotions, including Independent Wrestling Association Mid-South, Combat Zone Wrestling, Big Japan Pro Wrestling, and Juggalo Championship Wrestling. He is also the owner of IWA East Coast, and is currently employed by Juggalo Championship Wrestling. In his professional wrestling career, Canady is a five-time Heavyweight champion having won the IWA Mid-South Heavyweight Championship once, JCW Heavyweight Championship twice, the XCW Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship once, and MPW Heavyweight Championship once. Independent Wrestling Association (IWA) Mid-South (also known as IWA Mid-South, IWA-MS, and IWA Mid South Wrestling) is an American independent professional wrestling promotion based in New Albany, Indiana. It was formed by Ian Rotten in 1996. History Hardcore wrestling Independent Wrestling Association: Mid-South (IWA-MS) formed in 1996 in Louisville, Kentucky. The owner, Ian Rotten, is one of the first to bring hardcore style of wrestling to the United States with his feud with former tag team partner Axl Rotten. He formed the promotion shortly after being fired from Extreme Championship Wrestling in the mid-1990s. IWA Mid-South's first live event occurred on January 6, 1996 in New Albany, Indiana. The IWA World Championship is the major title in the Independent Wrestling Association Mid-South based in Louisville, Kentucky. Salem, Indiana
Salem is a city in and the county seat of Washington Township, Washington County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. The population was 6,319 at the 2010 census. Tell City is a city in Troy Township, Perry County, in the U.S. state of Indiana, along the Ohio River. The population was 7,272 at the 2010 census. The city is the county seat of Perry County. History Tell City traces its 150+ year old roots to a meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio, in November 1856. A group of Swiss-German immigrants met there to organize a society known as the "Swiss Colonization Society." Charlestown, Indiana
Charlestown is a city located within Charlestown Township, in Clark County, Indiana, United States. The population was 7,775 at the 2020 census. History Charlestown was established in 1808, named after one of its surveyors, Charles Beggs, upon , of which was designated for a town square. It was established one mile (1.6 km) northeast of Springville, and was responsible for Springville's demise.
