Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) is a public research university in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. IUP Portfolio
The IUP Portfolio is an education platform for Swedish schools, focused around the students individual development plan and learning portfolio. It is released under the GNU General Public License. History In 2006 the Swedish government created a new law. It said that every pupil in K-12 schools, has to have an individual development plan called an IUP (''Individuell Utveckling Plan''). This plan's goals are created in twice-yearly talks between the pupil, parent and teacher. The purpose of having an online IUP is for all parties to be able to access the document at any time and be able to follow up on the goals. IUP (software)
The IUP Portable User Interface is a computer software development kit that provides a portable, scriptable toolkit to build graphical user interfaces (GUIs) using the programming languages C, Perl, Lua, Nim and Zig among others. This allows rapid, zero-compile prototyping and refinement of deployable GUI applications. IUP's purpose is to allow programs user interface to run in different systems in unmodified form. It provides this ability by binding Lua with its C/C++ code, or simply writing C to the application programming interface (API). It handles user interface elements by using native controls provided by native APIs, such as Windows API in Windows, GTK+ in Linux, and Motif-LessTif in older Unices. Industrial Union Party
The Industrial Union Party (IUP) was a US DeLeonist political party. The party proclaimed itself on 7 July 1933 at 1032 Prospect Avenue, Bronx, Branch headquarters of its predecessor Industrial Union League (IUL). The new IUP immediately announced candidates in the New York City elections: Adolph Silver for Mayor, Irving Oring for Comptroller, and Sam Brandon for President of Alderman. The party's publication, the ''Industrial Unionist'', was published first in May 1932 with its final issue in 1950. Most of the IUP would later reconstitute itself as the League for Socialist Reconstruction. Noting the roots of IUP in the Socialist Labor Party (SLP), IUP's split from the SLP reflected the impact of the Great Depression and the inability of the SLP to adjust to new events. Inter-University Program For Chinese Language Study
The Inter-University Program for Chinese Language Studies at Tsinghua University () is an advanced Mandarin Chinese study center in Beijing associated with Stanford University. IUP started in Taipei, Taiwan in 1963 and was known as the Stanford Center. In 1997 it moved to Beijing, following Mainland China's Reform and opening, and the original Stanford Center in Taipei was renamed the International Chinese Language Program. The IUP currently offers a 32-week Academic Year Program, a 16-week Semester Option, and an 8-week Summer Intensive Program. All programs are located on its Tsinghua University campus in Beijing. Classes sizes are very small: typically a class will involve 50-minutes of Chinese-only instruction with a professor and 2-3 students seated around a small table. Pregnancy is the time during which one or more offspring develops ( gestates) inside a woman's uterus (womb). A multiple pregnancy involves more than one offspring, such as with twins. In molecular biology, an intrinsically disordered protein (IDP) is a protein that lacks a fixed or ordered three-dimensional structure, typically in the absence of its macromolecular interaction partners, such as other proteins or RNA. IDPs range from fully unstructured to partially structured and include random coil, molten globule-like aggregates, or flexible linkers in large multi- domain proteins. They are sometimes considered as a separate class of proteins along with globular, fibrous and membrane proteins. IDPs are a very large and functionally important class of proteins and their discovery has disproved the idea that three-dimensional structures of proteins must be fixed to accomplish their biological functions.
