IUPUI Jaguars Men's Soccer
The IUPUI Jaguars are the 18 intercollegiate teams that represent Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, in Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S. They compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. On July 1, 2017, IUPUI left the Summit League to move to the Horizon League in all sports. The Jaguars were formerly known as the IUPUI Metros. History IUPUI first sponsored intercollegiate athletics in 1972, when the men's basketball team began play as the IUPUI Metros. Women's sports were first sponsored in 1975, when the women's basketball, softball, and volleyball teams first competed. In 1978, the Metros joined the NAIA. They joined NCAA Division II in 1993 and moved up to NCAA Division I in 1997. Also in 1997, IUPUI joined the Mid-Continent Conference (now known as the Summit League), and officially changed their nickname to the Jaguars. IUPUI Jaguars Women's Basketball
The IUPUI Jaguars women's basketball team is the women's basketball team that represents Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Horizon League. History IUPUI began play in 1976. As of the end of the 2019–20 season, they have an all-time record of 577–602. The Jaguars appeared in their first NCAA tournament in 2022 after having won the 2020 Horizon League women's basketball tournament to qualify for the 2020 NCAA tournament, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Matt Crenshaw
Matthew Crenshaw (born July 19, 1978) is an American basketball coach and former point guard who is currently the head coach of Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis' men's basketball team, a role he has held since 2021. Military career Crenshaw enlisted in the United States Navy out of high school and spent six years in the service, assigned to posts such as the USS Kansas City, Navy Cargo Handling Port Group (NAVCHAPGRU), and in Washington, D.C. Coaching career IUPUI IUPUI hired Crenshaw as an assistant coach in 2006, and promoted him to associate head coach in 2011. The IUPUI Jaguars men's basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Horizon League. History The first year of IUPUI basketball was 1971–72 and the school competed as an NCAA Division III Independent. From 1982 to 2014, the Jaguars played on campus at IUPUI Gymnasium, The Jungle, which seated 1,215. Beginning with the 2014–15 IUPUI Jaguars men's basketball team, 2014–15 season, the Jaguars play their home games at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum on the Indiana State Fair, State Fairgrounds.
