ITX-Saemaeul
The Intercity Train eXpress-Saemaeul abbreviated as ITX-Saemaeul () is a class of train operated by Korail, the national railroad of South Korea, it was introduced on May 12, 2014, to replace the Saemaeul-ho. The new ITX-Saemaeul trains have a faster average speed of 150 kilometers per hour. The name was taken from the Saemaul Undong after a public competition to determine the new train's name. Suwon Station
Suwon Station is a railway station in the city of Suwon, South Korea. The station was completely redeveloped in 2002 and 2003, and is now integrated with the Aekyung Shopping Mall (AK Plaza). This station serves Inter-city railway Gyeongbu Line KTX, ITX-Saemaeul and Mugunghwa will stop. Also Line 1, Suin–Bundang Line of the Seoul subway will stop. Saemaeul-ho
The Saemaeul-ho, formerly known as the Saemaul-ho and Saemaul Express, is a class of train operated by Korail, the national railroad of South Korea, since February 8, 1969. Before the introduction of the KTX express trains, the Saemaeul-ho was the fastest class of trains in South Korea, making the journey from Seoul to Busan in less than 5 hours. Saemaeul trains operated on several lines, but they now only operate on the Janghang Line. Saemaeul-ho trains are distinguished from the more basic Mugunghwa-ho trains by their larger and comfortable seats and the absence of standing passengers. Trains are also distinguished from the Mugunghwa-ho trains by their colour; typical Saemaeul train passenger cars are painted in red and black. Korail Class 210000
The Korail Class 210000, also known as the EMU-150, is a South Korean higher-speed electrical multiple unit train manufactured by Hyundai Rotem and Woojin Industrial System Company Limited and operated by Korail on ITX-Saemaeul services since 2014. History In July 2011, Hyundai-Rotem and Korail signed an agreement for an order of 24 six-car units, with deliveries in 2013. On 15 October 2013, the first set was delivered to Korail. The EMU-150 entered service in 2014 on ITX-Saemaeul limited-express services. In 2018, a further order of 34 sets - 27 of which would be four-car sets and 7 of which would be six-car sets - was placed with Woojin Industrial System Company Limited. Donghae Line
The Donghae Line is a railway line connecting Busanjin station to Yeongdeok in South Korea. The literal meaning of its name, the "East Sea Line," reflects its position along the nation's East coast. It merged with the Donghae Nambu Line on December 30, 2016, and will merge with the Donghae Bukbu Line. Yeosu Expo Station
Yeosu Expo station (Ko: 여수엑스포역) is a KTX station in the city of Yeosu, South Jeolla Province, South Korea. It is on the Jeolla Line. KTX, ITX-Saemaeul, Mugunghwa-ho, and the S-Train stop at the station. It is registered as Yeosu-EXPO (Korean name 여수EXPO) on the Korea Railroad's computer network, and is registered as just an expo on the railway logistics information system. Gwangju Station
Gwangju station is a train station located in Gwangju, South Korea, 353 km south of Yongsan station. History The station opened on July 1, 1922, and the station building was moved to its present location on July 25, 1969. On August 10, 2000, Gwangju station was disconnected from the Gyeongjeon Line when a southern bypass between Hyocheon and Songjeong-ri (today GwangjuSongjeong Station) was opened.
