ITV Encore
ITV Encore was a British drama pay television channel in the United Kingdom that was owned by ITV Digital Channels Ltd, a division of ITV plc. The channel was exclusive to Sky (United Kingdom), Sky's digital satellite platform, Sky Go, Now TV (Sky plc), Now TV, and Sky Store. The channel closed on 1 May 2018, becoming an on-demand only service available on other platforms as well as Sky. History Launch ITV Encore launched at 7pm on 9 June 2014. The first programme to be shown on the channel was an episode of ''Agatha Christie's Poirot'' which was also the final programme. The channel was ITV's first new channel launch in over eight years, and formed part of a wider four-year partnership with Sky - ITV's largest ever with a platform operator. ITV Digital Channels Limited (formerly known as Granada Sky Broadcasting) is a subsidiary, wholly owned subsidiary of British broadcaster ITV plc. ITV is a British free-to-air public broadcast television network. It was launched in 1955 as Independent Television to provide competition to BBC Television (established in 1936). ITV is the oldest commercial network in the UK. Since the passing of the Broadcasting Act 1990, it has been legally known as Channel 3 to distinguish it from the other analogue channels at the time, BBC1, BBC2 and Channel 4. ''Jordskott'' (, "soil shoot") is a Swedish TV thriller, crime drama series. Police detective Eva Thörnblad ( Moa Gammel) investigates the disappearance of her daughter and other mysteries in her hometown of Silverhöjd. Sky Replay is a British pay television channel operated by Sky as a sister channel to Sky Max and Sky Witness. The current channel began broadcasting (as Sky One Mix) in December 2002. The 'Sky 2' name and format had earlier been used for a similar service which broadcast on analogue platforms for a year from 1996. On 27 August 2020, the service rebranded as Sky Replay. ITV Sport Channel was a short-lived digital sport television channel, that was owned by Carlton Communications and Granada plc. It was launched on 11 August 2001 and closed on 12 May 2002, precipitating ITV Digital's collapse over a month later.
