Richard Elliot
Richard Elliot (born January 16, 1960) is a Scottish-born American saxophonist. He was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards for ''Summer Horns''. Career Elliot started out as a member of the jazz-rock unit, KittyHawk, playing lyricon (a wind synthesizer) and saxophone, and recording several albums with them. He then became a member of the funk band Tower of Power, playing tenor sax for five years during the 1980s. That was followed by a stint at a member of the Yellowjackets. He also worked on Stacy Lattisaw's 1986 album ''Take Me All the Way''. Mick Goodrick
Mick Goodrick (June 9, 1945 – November 16, 2022) was an American jazz guitarist who spent most of his career as a teacher. In the early 1970s, he worked with Gary Burton and Pat Metheny. Biography An Elvis fan, Goodrick began studying guitar in his pre-teens and was performing professionally a few years later. When he was sixteen, he became interested in jazz at a Stan Kenton Band Camp. He attended the Berklee School of Music from 1963–1967. He taught at Berklee, then spent a few years touring with Gary Burton. After returning to Boston, he settled into a career largely as an educator. Goodrick has had many notable students, including Bill Frisell, Julian Lage, John Scofield, Lage Lund, Mike Stern, Avner Strauss, and Rale Micic. Estelle Reiner (née Lebost; June 5, 1914 – October 25, 2008) was an American actress and singer, described by ''The New York Times'' as "matriarch of one of the leading families in American comedy". ''Heard Ranier Ferguson'' is a studio album by 1980s jazz trio Heard Ranier Ferguson, composed of bassist John Heard, pianist Tom Ranier and drummer Sherman Ferguson. All highly experienced musicians with a wealth of recordings behind them. The album The album was the third release for Californian record label ITI Records in 1983, then a fledgling label. It was Manufactured and marketed by Allegiance Records Ltd. The album was what could be expected from a small jazz group such as Heard Ranier Ferguson. As an experienced trio they worked well together on it. Ranier's piano was the dominant sound with the presence of Heard's bass being felt.
