IQ (girl Group)
IQ was an American teenage pop and hip hop girl group. The group consisted of sisters Sadiea and Nyla Williams, Gicelle Valerio and Lauren Mafera, all from Lunenburg, Massachusetts. The group split in 2008 to pursue other projects. Members *Nyla Williams (born 1990) was Miss Massachusetts of the National American Miss Massachusetts Junior Teen beauty pageant of 2005 and 2006. She is also a poet and dancer with aspirations of modeling and fashion designing. Both she and her sister, Sadiea, are of African-American, Scottish, Pakistani and American Indian descent. She was a rapper and vocalist for IQ. *Gicelle Valerio (born 1989) is Hispanic-American. She is of Bolivian, Dominican, Spanish, and Italian descent. Lunenburg, Massachusetts
Lunenburg is a town in Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 11,946 at the 2020 census. History Lunenburg was first settled by Europeans in 1718 and was officially incorporated in 1728. The name stems from one of the titles of King George II of Great Britain, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg. During King George's War (1744–1748), French-allied First Nations, such as warriors of the M'iq Maq or Abenaki Confederacy, raided the village and took settlers captive to Quebec. Areas of neighboring Fitchburg were once part of Lunenburg, but broke away around 1764. The settlers found the walking distance to church and town meetings too great and needed their own town center. Big Girls Don't Cry (Four Seasons Song)
"Big Girls Don't Cry" is a song written by Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio and originally recorded by the Four Seasons. It hit number one on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 on November 17, 1962, and, like its predecessor "Sherry", spent five weeks in the top position but never ranked in the ''Billboard'' year-end charts of 1962 or 1963. The song also made it to number one, for three weeks, on ''Billboard'''s Rhythm and Blues survey. It was also the quartet's second single to make it to number one on the US R&B charts. Background According to Gaudio, he was dozing off while watching the John Payne/Rhonda Fleming/Ronald Reagan movie ''Tennessee's Partner'' when he heard Payne's character slap Fleming in the face. After the slap, Fleming's character replied, "Big girls don't cry." Gaudio wrote the line on a scrap of paper, fell asleep, and wrote the song the next morning. Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons
The Four Seasons are an American rock and pop band formed in 1960 in Newark, New Jersey. Since 1970, they have also been known at times as Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. The band evolved out of a previous band called The Four Lovers, with Frankie Valli as the lead singer, Bob Gaudio on keyboards and tenor vocals, Tommy DeVito on lead guitar and baritone vocals, and Nick Massi on bass guitar and bass vocals. On nearly all of their 1960s hits, they were credited as The 4 Seasons. Jada were an American pop and R&B female vocal group from Boston, Massachusetts. They are known for their mix of pop, soul, dance, and R&B styling, and their gospel-inspired harmonies. Jada was signed by Universal Motown Records president Sylvia Rhone in October 2006. Jada won “Outstanding Pop/R&B Music Act of the Year” at the 2008 Boston Music Awards. Everlife was an American pop rock band made up of three sisters, Amber, Sarah, and Julia Ross who formed in early 2001. History Everlife originated in Indiana, Pennsylvania. The band was formed in the winter of 1997 with Sarah on the drums, Amber on the guitar, and Julia on keyboard. In 2002, Everlife and their mother, Susan, shared a song with the band members of Seventh Day Slumber. The band members of Seventh Day Slumber lent their expertise by connecting them to music industry people in Nashville, Tennessee. B5, previously known as TNT Boyz and Audio, is an American Contemporary R&B, R&B group originating from St. Petersburg, Florida, which later relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. The group consists of the five Breeding family brothers, Dustin Michael (b. October 8, 1987), Kelly Allen (b.February 27, 1989), Patrick Owen (b. September 19, 1990), Carnell Frederick (b. Hunnicutt, November 30, 1991), and Bryan Jesse (b.October 14, 1994).
