IOA Invitational
The IOA Invitational was a tournament on the Symetra Tour, the LPGA's developmental tour. It was a part of the Symetra Tour's schedule between 2018 and 2020. It was held at Atlanta National Golf Club in Milton, Georgia. Elizabeth Szokol was the inaugural champion, and in 2019 María Parra prevailed over Leona Maguire, Ssu-Chia Cheng and Madison Pressel in a five-hole playoff hole for her first Symetra Tour victory. Milton, Georgia
Milton is a city in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. Located about 30 miles due north of Atlanta, Milton is known for its rural and equestrian heritage. Symetra Tour
The Epson Tour, previously known as the LPGA Futures Tour, and known for sponsorship reasons between 2006 and 2010 as the Duramed Futures Tour and between 2012 and 2021 as the Symetra Tour, is the official developmental golf tour of the LPGA Tour. Tour membership is open to professional women golfers and to qualified amateurs. History The Futures Tour was founded in Florida in 1981 as the "Tampa Bay Mini Tour". María Parra Luque (born 4 December 1997) is a professional golfer from Spain who played on the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour already as a teenager. She won the 2015 European Ladies Amateur and rose to No. 2 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Amateur career Parra had a successful amateur career. In 2015, she won the European Ladies Amateur Championship in Austria and was runner-up at the Annika Invitational Europe in Sweden. Elizabeth Nicole Szokol (born June 17, 1995) is an American professional golfer and LPGA Tour member. Early life, college and amateur career Szokol grew up in Winnetka, Illinois, a Chicago suburb. An injury-prone athlete, she experienced her first knee surgery at age 12 after playing softball and tennis. The injury downtime helped her discover golf, which she took up at 14. She led her high school team to the 2010 Illinois State Championship. In 2012 she became the Illinois Women's Amateur Champion. Szokol attended Northwestern University between 2012 and 2014. Leona Maguire
Leona Maguire (born 30 November 1994) is an Irish professional golfer. She was ranked 1st in the world on the women's World Amateur Golf Ranking from May 2015 until May 2016 and then from August 2016 until February 2018. Maguire's 135 weeks at the top is the longest in history. She holds many other records including the lowest ever score in the final round of a major by any golfer, male or female, and the joint lowest round in the history of golf's major grand slam tournament rounds, both male and female, with a score of 61. Ssu-Chia Cheng ( zh, c=程思嘉; born 27 October 1997) is a Taiwanese professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. Early life and amateur career Cheng started playing golf at the age of 8 and as an amateur won four events on the Taiwan LPGA Tour, three of which were co-sanctioned by the Ladies Asian Golf Tour. The 2020 Symetra Tour was a series of professional women's golf tournaments held from March through October 2020 in the United States. The Symetra Tour is the second-tier women's professional golf tour in the United States and is the "official developmental tour" of the LPGA Tour. It was previously known as the Futures Tour.
