Image
An image is a visual representation of something. It can be two-dimensional, three-dimensional, or somehow otherwise feed into the visual system to convey information. An image can be an artifact, such as a photograph or other two-dimensional picture, that resembles a subject. In the context of signal processing, an image is a distributed amplitude of color(s). In optics, the term “image” may refer specifically to a 2D image. An image does not have to use the entire visual system to be a visual representation. A popular example of this is of a greyscale image, which uses the visual system's sensitivity to brightness across all wavelengths, without taking into account different colors. A black and white visual representation of something is still an image, even though it does not make full use of the visual system's capabilities. Images are typically still, but in some cases can be moving or animated. Characteristics Images may be two or three-dimensional, such as a ph ... IMG (file Format)
IMG, in computing, refers to binary files with the .img filename extension that store raw disk images of floppy disks, hard drives, and optical discs or a bitmap image – .img. Overview The .img filename extension is used by disk image files, which contain raw dumps of a magnetic disk or of an optical disc. Since a raw image consists of a sector-by-sector binary copy of the source medium, the actual format of the file contents will depend on the file system of the disk from which the image was created (such as a version of FAT). Raw disk images of optical media (such as CDs and DVDs) contain a raw image of all the tracks in a disc (which can include audio, data and video tracks). In the case of CD-ROMs and DVDs, these images usually include not only the data from each sector, but the control headers and error correction fields for each sector as well. Since IMG files hold no additional data beyond the disk contents, these files can only be automatically handled by programs ... Design Rule For Camera File System
Design rule for Camera File system (DCF) is a JEITA specification (number CP-3461) which defines a file system for digital cameras, including the directory structure, file naming method, character set, file format, and metadata format. It is currently the de facto industry standard for digital still cameras. The file format of DCF conforms to the Exif specification, but the DCF specification also allows use of any other file formats. As of 2021 the 2010 version 2.0 of the standard was current. File system In order to guarantee interoperability, DCF specifies the file system for image and sound files to be used on formatted DCF media (like removable or non-removable memory) as FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, or exFAT. Media with a capacity of more than 2 GB must be formatted using FAT32 or exFAT. The DCF standard defines that the " Read Only" file and directory attribute of FAT file systems can be used to protect files or directories from accidental deletion. Other existing attributes ... BBCode
BBCode ("Bulletin Board Code") is a lightweight markup language used to format messages in much Internet forum software, first introduced in 1998. The available "tags" of BBCode are usually indicated by square brackets ( _and_.html" ;"title="/code> and ">/code> and /code>) surrounding a keyword, and are parsed before being translated into HTML. Tags Implementation BBCode is typically implemented by applying a series of regular expression string-replace operations upon the input. Because regular expressions are limited in analyzing the structure of text input, this has the artifact that any non-hierarchical BBCode input will be transformed into invalid non-hierarchical HTML without error. Applying traditional parsing techniques is made difficult by ambiguities in the markup, such as in , where the input can either be interpreted as "text" quoted from someone called , or the bolded text "text" surrounded by and {{code, lang=bbcode, code=quote Quote is a hypernym of quotatio ... Inside Mac Games
''Inside Mac Games'' (''IMG'') started in 1993 as an electronic magazine about Apple Macintosh computer gaming distributed by floppy disk, eventually becoming a website. History In 1992, Tuncer Deniz, who was unemployed, decided to create a magazine called ''Inside Mac Games'' — he came up with the name after seeing a copy of ''Inside Sports'' at a newsstand — that would be dedicated to reviews of new and upcoming Macintosh computer games. Deniz interested a friend, Jon Blum, in the project, but neither of them had the capital or the expertise to publish a print magazine. Instead, they envisioned an electronic magazine. Using a shareware lay-out program, Deniz and Blum created the first issue, which contained reviews of four flight simulators — Parsoft Interactive's '' Hellcats Over the Pacific'' and ''Missions at Leyte Gulf'', Spectrum HoloByte's '' Falcon MC'', and ''Microsoft Flight Simulator 4.0'' — as well as hints, Easter eggs and reviews about older games such a ...
