IG 3-Seenbahn
The ''Interessengemeinschaft 3-Seenbahn e.V.'' is a German heritage railway located in Schluchsee-Seebrugg in Black Forest. It was founded on 13 January 2008 to prevent the demolition of the former freight yard in Seebrugg. At certain dates all over the year the volunteers organize and operate vintage train rides on the Three Lakes Railway (Titisee – Seebrugg) and on the Höllentalbahn (Freiburg – Titisee – Donaueschingen) History In 2008, Deutsche Bahn (DB) planned to demolish the abandoned former Seebrugg freight yard. At this time, the station was largely in the state of the 1950s, so eight railway enthusiasts founded a society to save the tracks from being removed. After they managed to stop the demolition and to buy the terrain from DB, they organized first steam train rides in August 2008, which were financed by ten communities near Seebrugg. Rothaus
is a brewery owned by the States of Germany, German state of Baden-Württemberg. Rothaus, at the northern edge of the village of Grafenhausen in the southern Black Forest, is one of Germany's most successful and profitable regional breweries. History Rothaus received its name from the patrician family "Roth", which originated from the region of Klettgau and settled down in Grafenhausen around 1300 AD. The Reutlingen–Schelklingen railway or Swabian Jura Railway (German: ''Schwäbische Albbahn'') is a 58.25 kilometre long branch line from Reutlingen to Schelklingen, which crosses the Swabian Jura in southern Germany. Its route no. is 4620. The section from Reutlingen to Honau is also known as the Echaz Railway (''Echazbahn'') or Echaz Valley Railway (''Echaztalbahn''). Donnerbüchse
The German term ''Donnerbüchse'' (plural: ''Donnerbüchsen'', formerly ''Donnerwagen'') means "thunderbox" and is the nickname for the four-wheeled, open, passenger coaches, built from 1921 onwards, that served with the Deutsche Reichsbahn. In contrast to their predecessors, they were made entirely of iron or steel. The name comes from the loud rumbling of these coaches as a result of their lack of damping. Even the immediate forerunners of these wagons were given the name despite their wooden construction.
