Informed Consent Action Network
The Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN) is one of the main anti-vaccination groups in the United States. Founded in 2016 by Del Bigtree, it spreads misinformation about the risks of vaccines and contributes to vaccine hesitancy, which has been identified by the World Health Organization as one of the top ten global health threats of 2019. Arguments against vaccination are contradicted by overwhelming scientific consensus about the safety and effectiveness of vaccines. Funding and activities ICAN was founded in 2016 by television producer Del Bigtree, after the release of the movie '' Vaxxed: From Cover-Up to Catastrophe'', which he wrote and produced, with anti-vaccination activist Andrew Wakefield directing. The Nationalist Canarian Initiative ( es, Iniciativa Canaria Nacionalista; ICAN), initially called Canarian Initiative ( es, Iniciativa Canaria), was a nationalist political party in the Canary Islands founded in 1991. History ICAN was founded in 1991, being originally was linked to the Canarian United Left (IUC) until a few months after the municipal elections of 1991, when a conflict arose between these two organizations. The International Christian Academy of Nagoya (ICAN; ja, 一般財団法人インターナショナル・クリスチャン・アカデミー名古屋) was an international school that was located in the city of Nagakute, a suburb of Nagoya, Aichi, Japan. It was founded in 1991 as the Christian Academy of Nagoya. ICAN has been managed by the Network of International Christian Schools (NICS) since 2001. The school closed as of 2021. ICAN had class offerings from offering pre-kindergarten through grade 12, and used North American curriculum, with accreditations from both the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
