Founded in 1999 I3P, the Innovative Enterprise Incubator of the Polytechnic University of Turin ( Politecnico di Torino) promotes science-based businesses in relation with university researchers or entrepreneurs. I3P is one of the best University Business incubator and has been ranked 4th in Europe and 11th in 2013 world UBI (University Business Incubator) ranking. Business incubator is an organization that helps startup companies and individual entrepreneurs to develop their businesses by providing a fullscale range of services starting with management training and office space and ending with venture capital financing. The National Business Incubation Association (NBIA) defines business incubators as a catalyst tool for either regional or national economic development. Business is the practice of making one's living or making money by producing or buying and selling products (such as goods and services).
