I.P. Santos
Ildefonso Paez Santos Jr. (September 5, 1929 – January 29, 2014), popularly known simply as "IP Santos", was a Filipino architect who was known for being the "Father of Philippine Landscape Architecture." He was recognized as a National Artist of the Philippines in the field of Architecture in 2006. He was the son of Filipino poet Ildefonso Santos and Asuncion Paez. Education Santos graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in 1954 with a degree in the field of architecture. He then pursued a second degree in Architecture, as well as a Master of Architecture degree at the University of Southern California School of Architecture. Work Santos pioneered the profession of landscape architecture in the Philippines. He was bestowed with the title of "national artist" for his outstanding achievement in architecture and allied arts on June 9, 2006. Malabon
Malabon, officially the City of Malabon ( fil, Lungsod ng Malabon), is a 1st class highly urbanized city in the National Capital Region of the Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 380,522 people. Located just north of the city of Manila, it is primarily a residential and industrial area, and is one of the most densely populated cities in the metropolis. It has a total land area of 15.96 square kilometers. Paco Park
The Paco Park (originally named as Cementerio General de Dilao) is a recreational garden and was once Manila's municipal cemetery built by the Dominicans during the Spanish colonial period. It is located on General Luna Street and at the east end of Padre Faura Street in Paco, Manila, Philippines. Paco Park has also become a very popular venue for weddings and receptions for couples who prefer garden-like settings. The Order of National Artists of the Philippines (Filipino: ''Orden ng mga Pambansang Alagad ng Sining ng Pilipinas'') is an order bestowed by the Philippines on Filipinos who have made significant contributions to the development of Philippine art. Members of the Order are known as National Artists. Originally instituted as an Award, it was elevated to the status of an order in 2003. The Order is administered by the Cultural Center of the Philippines by virtue of President Ferdinand Marcos's Proclamation № 1001 of April 2, 1972 and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. Taikoo Shing or Tai Koo Shing (), is a private residential development in Quarry Bay, in the eastern part of Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. It is a part of Swire's property business, along with Taikoo Place, the adjacent Cityplaza retail and office complex and EAST, a lifestyle business hotel. Burnham Park (Baguio)
Burnham Park, officially known as the Burnham Park Reservation, is a historic urban park located in downtown Baguio, Philippines. It was designed by eponymous American architect and Baguio city planner, Daniel Burnham. Design Burnham Park was envisioned by American architect Daniel Hudson Burnham as part of a larger plan for the city of Baguio in 1905. After having presented the preliminary plans for Baguio and the capital city of Manila, Burnham left the task of interpreting such plans to William E. Parsons. The area where Burnham Park is situated was formerly known as 'Baguio Meadow".
