Håvard Homstvedt
Håvard Homstvedt (in EnglishHaavard Homstvedt (1976) is a Norwegian artist. Life and work Homstvedt was in born Lørenskog, Norway, and is currently based in New York and Oslo. Educated in Norway, the US, and Italy (Rome), as part of the European Honors Program (EHP) at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Homstvedt graduated with BFA from RISD in 2000 and an MFA from Yale University School of Art in 2003. While Homstvedt's main focus is with painting, he also works in various other media, including printmaking, sculpture, and installation. Characteristic for Homstvedt's paintings is a heightened focus on the materiality and surface of the work. His work is present in a number of important private collections and museums in North America and Europe. Lørenskog
is a Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Akershus in Viken (county), Viken Counties of Norway, county, Norway. A suburb of Oslo, it is part of the Oslo urban area and the Districts of Norway, traditional region of Romerike. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Lørenskog. Lørenskog was separated from the municipality of Skedsmo on 1 January 1908. Astrup Fearnley Museet
The Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art is a privately owned contemporary art gallery in Oslo in Norway. It was founded and opened to the public in 1993. The collection's main focus is the American appropriation artists from the 1980s, but it is currently developing towards the international contemporary art scene, with artists like Jeff Koons, Richard Prince, Cindy Sherman, Matthew Barney, Tom Sachs, Doug Aitken, Olafur Eliasson, and Cai Guo-Qiang. The museum gives 6-7 temporary exhibitions each year. Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art collaborates with international institutions and produces exhibitions that travel worldwide.
