Gabby and Charles fell in love while he saw to her recovery for weeks, with the help of hospital volunteer and their mutual friend, Magnus (the future Magneto). When she is kidnapped by terrorist organization HYDRA, led by the Nazi Baron Strucker, Charles and Magnus used their mutant powers to save her and defeat HYDRA. Immediately afterwards, Magnus left Gabby and Charles feeling that her and Charles' view on mutants and humans contrasted his own. Magnus left with Nazi gold HYDRA wanted to claim. Cypher (Douglas Aaron Ramsey) is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character appears usually in the X-Men family of books, in particular those featuring ''The New Mutants'', of which Cypher has been a member. He is a mutant with the ability to easily understand any language, whether spoken or written. The character is not related to the female cyborg of the same name who first appeared in ''Sabretooth and Mystique'' #1 and is a member of A.I.M. Publication history Created by writer Chris Claremont and artist Sal Buscema, the character first appeared in ''New Mutants'' #13 (March 1984). Initially used as a supporting cast member, he was assimilated into the titular superteam in ''The New Mutants'' #21 (1984). Evolution
Evolution is change in the heritable characteristics of biological populations over successive generations. These characteristics are the expressions of genes that are passed on from parent to offspring during reproduction. Different characteristics tend to exist within any given population as a result of mutation, genetic recombination and other sources of genetic variation.
