Hunndalen
Hunndalen is a commercial and residential area of Gjøvik municipality, Innlandet (formerly Oppland) County. The area is considered to be one of districts of Gjøvik and is approximately three kilometers west of downtown Gjøvik. History Hunndalen is one of the oldest industrial sites in the former Oppland County. The nerve of Hunndalen was then Toten pulp Mill (closed down in 1981). The company O. Mustad & Søn AS (manufacturer of fish hooks and hardware equipment) are still active in the area for a number of redundancies. Mustad old industrial area has recently been revitalized with a number of new enterprises - and stands today as Mustad Business Park located on the border between Hunndalen district and center of Gjøvik. Gjøvik
is a municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Toten. The administrative centre of the municipality is town of Gjøvik. Some of the villages in Gjøvik include Biri, Bybrua, and Hunndalen. The municipality is the 169th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Gjøvik is the 35th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 30,267. Håkon Paulsberg
Håkon Paulsberg (born 26 July 1952 in Hunndalen, Norway) is a Norwegian musician and singer-songwriter, the father of the jazz saxophonist Hanna Paulsberg, now living in Rygge, Østfold. He is known for cooperations with musical profiles like Jan Erik Vold, Arne Domnerus and Clifford Jordan and composing music to lyrics by poets like Georg Johannesen. Career Paulsberg has extensive experience as a drummer in a variety of styles, and has a long career as a musician. From 1980 until date, he has been active in different bands, but has also collaborated with international jazz profiles like Arne Domnerus and Clifford Jordan. At the end of the 90 Paulsberg changed role from being a drummer to become a guitarist and singer-songwriter with the album ''Jinter'' (1999) in which he interprets the lyrics of Alf Prøysen. Oppland
Oppland is a former county in Norway which existed from 1781 until its dissolution on 1 January 2020. The old Oppland county bordered the counties of Trøndelag, Møre og Romsdal, Sogn og Fjordane, Buskerud, Akershus, Oslo and Hedmark. The county administration was located in the town of Lillehammer. Merger On 1 January 2020, the neighboring counties of Oppland and Hedmark were merged to form the new Innlandet county. Both Oppland and Hedmark were the only landlocked counties of Norway, and the new Innlandet county is the only landlocked county in Norway. Ole Evinrude
Ole Evinrude, born Ole Andreassen Aaslundeie (April 19, 1877 – July 12, 1934) was an American entrepreneur, known for the invention of the first outboard motor with practical commercial application. Biography Ole Evinrude was born in Hunndalen in the municipality of Vardal (now Gjøvik), in Oppland, Norway. The Evinrude surname, which he adopted in the United States, is an oeconym from the Evenrud farm in Vestre Toten, where his mother was born. In October 1881, his father emigrated to America, followed the next year by Evinrude, his mother and two siblings. Three additional siblings were born in America. The family settled on a farm in Ripley Lake near Cambridge, Wisconsin. At age sixteen, Evinrude went to Madison, where he worked in machinery stores and studied engineering on his own. Innlandet is a county in Norway. It was created on 1 January 2020 with the merger of the old counties of Oppland and Hedmark (the municipalities of Jevnaker and Lunner were transferred to the neighboring county of Viken on the same date). The new county has an area of , making it the second largest county in Norway after Troms og Finnmark county. The county name translates to "The Inland" which reflects that the county is the only landlocked county in Norway. Ingvild Flugstad Østberg (born 9 November 1990) is a Norwegian cross-country skier who has competed since 2008. Career She won her first competition in the sprint event in the Tour de Ski on 31 December 2013. Her previous best individual World Cup finish was a second place at a sprint event on 1 January 2013 held in Val Müstair, Switzerland during Tour de Ski. She won four gold medals during the 2009 Junior World Championship in Praz de Lys-Sommand, but had to settle for a fifth place in the team sprint event during the 2009 World Championship in Liberec, along with Astrid Jacobsen.
