Hume City Football Club is a semi-professional Australian football club based in Broadmeadows, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. Established by the local Turkish Australian community, the club competes in the National Premier Leagues Victoria. The club, known by the local Turkish Australian community as ''Anadoluspor'', is the most successful Turkish Australian-backed football club in Australia. Hume City has senior men's, women's and junior boys and girls teams, all based out of John Ilhan Memorial Reserve. History The club was established as ''Holland Park Football Club'' in 1979 by Cengiz Binyazar, Halit Kirdar and Abdullah Saglam. The club officially registered with the Victorian Soccer Federation in 1979, with Emin Aslan holding the position of president in its inaugural season. John Ilhan Memorial Reserve
John Ilhan Memorial Reserve, commercially known as VPEC, Valley Park Events Centre and often referred to as Broadmeadows Valley Park, is an Australian soccer ground in Broadmeadows, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. It is the home of Hume City FC. The venue has a capacity of 4,000 and is the only stadium in the City of Hume that is up to NPL standard. The ground is named in honour of former Crazy John's owner John Ilhan. There are 4 soccer fields, two of which are used for juniors and training purposes, (one being a synthetic field). There is also a turf athletics track for long jump, javelin and discus with an infield soccer field. The Australia Cup, formerly known as the FFA Cup until the 2021 season, is the national football knockout cup competition in Australia. This annual competition is organised by Football Australia, formerly known as Football Federation Australia until 2020. The Australia Cup comprises teams from the top division, A-League Men (known as simply the A-League before the 2021–22 season), as well as those from lower tiers in the Australian soccer league system. 2017 FFA Cup
The 2017 FFA Cup was the fourth season of the FFA Cup, the main national soccer knockout cup competition in Australia. 32 teams began competing in the competition proper (from the round of 32), including the 10 A-League teams and 21 Football Federation Australia (FFA) member federation teams determined through individual state qualifying rounds, as well as the reigning National Premier Leagues Champion ( Sydney United 58 from NSW). Round and dates Prize fund The prize fund is unchanged from the 2016 event. In addition, a further $2,500 was donated from sponsor NAB to Member Federation clubs for each goal scored by them against an A-League opposition. Besart Berisha
Besart Berisha (born 29 July 1985) is a Kosovan retired professional footballer who played as a striker. Club career Youth and Hamburger SV Berisha began his youth career at German side Berliner VB 49 academies at age of 9. He then moved to various German teams, such as Berliner FC Dynamo, TSV Lichtenberg, SV Lichtenberg 47 until 2003, when he moved to NOFV-Oberliga club Tennis Borussia Berlin, where a 17-year-old Berisha won the national youth league's golden boot, outclassing future Germany strikers, Mario Gomez and Lukas Podolski. He stayed for just a year before being spotted by Bundesliga club Hamburger SV. Lupce "Lou" Acevski (born 14 November 1977) is an Australian former soccer goalkeeper who later became a coach. As a player, he played 71 times in the Australian National Soccer League (NSL) for Melbourne Knights, Northern Spirit and Adelaide City. He had a short stint in Czech football where he played seven times for FK SIAD Most. He also made over 200 senior appearances in the Victorian Premier League. Marconi Stallions Football Club is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in Fairfield, Sydney, New South Wales. The club has been crowned Australian champion four times. The Stallions are the soccer team of Club Marconi, a social and sporting club founded in 1958 by immigrants from Italy who settled in Sydney's western suburbs. It earned promotion to the top tier of soccer in New South Wales and established itself as one of the strongest clubs in Sydney during the 1970s, before becoming a founding member of the National Soccer League in 1977. South Melbourne Football Club is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in suburb of Albert Park, in Melbourne, Victoria. A-League Men (known as the Isuzu UTE A-League for sponsorship reasons) is the highest-level professional men's soccer league in Australia and New Zealand. At the top of the Australian league system, it is the country's premier men's competition for the sport.
