Humberto Rivas Mijares
Humberto Rivas Mijares (1918–1981) was a Venezuelan writer, journalist and diplomat. He was born in Valencia, Venezuela on December 21, 1918, and died in Caracas on November 23, 1981. Life and career He spent his teenage years on a coffee plantation in Nirgua with a paternal uncle after the death of his father. Valencia () is the capital city of Carabobo State and the third-largest city in Venezuela. The city is an economic hub that contains Venezuela's top industries and manufacturing companies. Arturo Uslar Pietri (16 May 1906 in Caracas – 26 February 2001) was a Venezuelan intellectual, historian, writer, television producer, and politician.
