Huidji See (born 30 May 1981 in Arnhem, Netherlands, also known as Huidji Lake) is a Dutch pool and billiards player. He was the 2011 WPA World 10-Ball Pool Champion. Career Early life See was born in 1981 in the Netherlands, the son of Chinese parents, and grew up there. Instead of finishing his education, he opted for a career as a professional billiard player. In competitions he competes for the Rotterdam Billiards Club Thurston . His nickname in the pool billiard scene is Hooch. Jian-Bo Fu
Fu Jianbo (sometimes referred to as Jianbo Fu in Western media) is a professional pool player from the People's Republic of China. Career In 2007, Fu along with Li Hewen represented China at the 2007 World Cup of Pool. The pair won the event defeating a Finland team of Mika Immonen and Markus Juva. The pair later won the event three years later, this time against Filipino team of Dennis Orcollo and Roberto Gomez at the 2010 World Cup of Pool. Fu also won the 2008 International Challenge of Champions and its US$50,000 winner-take-all prize by defeating Dennis Orcollo. WPA World Ten-ball Championship
The WPA World Ten-ball Championship is a professional ten-ball pool tournament sanctioned by the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA). The event was first held in 2008 in the Philippines, followed by playings there in 2009 and 2011. After not being contested for several years, it was resurrected in 2015 by boxer Manny Pacquiao, who successfully campaigned to the WPA for the championship to be moved from Metro Manila to General Santos. An event was announced in June 2018, but was postponed until relocating to the Las Vegas Valley in 2019. The scheduled 2020 championship was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The most recent playings have been held in the fall of 2021 and the spring of 2022. 2015 WPA World Ten-ball Championship
The WPA 10-Ball World Championship 2015 was the fourth edition of the WPA World 10-ball Championship, the world championship for the discipline of 10-ball pool. It took place from February 17 to 21, 2015 at the SM City Activity Center in General Santos, Philippines. Taiwan's Ko Pin-yi won the World Cup by beating Filipino Carlo Biado 11–9 in the final. In the semi-final, Ko defeated his younger brother Ko Ping-chung, whereas Biado won against Spaniard David Alcaide. Defending champion was Dutchman Huidji See, who won the 2011 event but did not participate in this event. Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao successfully campaigned against the WPA to select his hometown, General Santos, as the venue for the event, in which he has already organized several pool-billiards tournaments. ''Yukio Akakariyama'' (Japanese , Akakariyama Yukio; born 13 March 1975 in Osaka, Japan) is a Japanese pool player. In 2011, Yukio won the WPA World Nine-ball Championship. Tony Drago (born 22 September 1965) is a Maltese former professional snooker and pool player. Known for his speed around the table, during his snooker career he won two professional titles: the 1993 Strachan Challenge Event 3 and the 1996 Guangzhou Masters. He later switched his focus to pool and won the 2003 World Pool Masters beating Hsia Hui-kai 8–6 and the 2008 Predator International 10-ball Championship beating Francisco Bustamante 13–10. Ko Pin-yi
Ko Pin-yi (born 31 May 1989) is a Taiwanese professional pool player. He became multiple World Champion in the disciplines of 9-ball and 10-ball in 2015. Career Ko defeated Carlo Biado in the final of the 2015 WPA World Ten-ball Championship. He then defeated Shane Van Boening in the final of the 2015 WPA World Nine-ball Championship. At the junior level, Ko twice won the World Nine-ball Junior Championship in 2007 and 2008. Personal Ko is the oldest of three brothers. His younger brothers, Ko Ping-chung and Ko Ping Han, are also professional pool players.
