Hugo Townsend
Hugo Austin Townsend (born 18 January 1999) is a Swedish professional golfer. He earned co-medalist honors in stroke play at the 2021 U.S. Amateur and was runner-up at the 2022 European Amateur Team Championship. Early life and amateur career Townsend was born in Dublin, Ireland. He grew up in Boden, Sweden where he moved at age 6 with his family, his Swedish mother Sofia and his English father Peter Townsend (golfer), Peter Townsend, a former PGA Tour golfer and two-time Ryder Cup player. Townsend showed a talent for golf early, winning 16 tournaments and recording 11 runner-up finishes on the regional junior circuits between 2012 and 2015, becoming the top ranked player in Sweden for his age group. He won the 2012 Skandia Cup national final by 18 strokes ahead of David Nyfjäll in second. The Boise State Broncos are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Boise State University, located in Boise, Idaho. 2021 European Amateur Team Championship
The 2021 European Amateur Team Championship took place 6–10 July at PGA Catalunya in Spain. It was the 38th men's golf European Amateur Team Championship. The event was originally intended to be played at Vasatorp Golf Club in Sweden but was moved because of travel restriction concerns. Format Each team consisted of six players. On the first two days each player played 18 holes of stroke play each day. The lowest five scores from each team’s six players counted to the team total each day. The eight best teams formed flight A, in knock-out match-play over the following three days. The teams were seeded based on their positions after the stroke play. The Ole Miss Rebels are the 18 men's and women's intercollegiate athletic teams that are funded by and represent the University of Mississippi, located in Oxford. The first was the football team, which began play in 1893. Originally known as the "Mississippi Flood", the teams were renamed the Rebels in 1936. Samuel Bennett (born December 21, 1999) is an American professional golfer from Madisonville, Texas. In 2022, he won the U.S. Amateur. Amateur career Bennett began playing golf on a public nine-hole course in his native Madisonville. He attended Madisonville High School, where he was a state champion in 2017.
