Huaynamota River
The Huaynamota River is a river in western Mexico. It is a tributary of the Río Grande de Santiago in the southern Sierra Madre Occidental. Geography The Huaynamota drains a basin of 17,265 km2, which covers parts of the states of Nayarit, Durango, Jalisco, and Zacatecas. The basin extends from 21° 24’ 36.82” to 23° 25’ 3.26” N and 104° 30’ 34.03” to 103° 24’ 26.73” W. Río Grande De Santiago
The Río Grande de Santiago, or Santiago River, is a river in western Mexico. It flows westwards from Lake Chapala via Ocotlán through the states of Jalisco and Nayarit to empty into the Pacific Ocean. It one of the longest rivers in Mexico, measuring up long. Geography The river begins at Lake Chapala via Ocotlán and continues roughly north-west through the Sierra Madre Occidental, receiving the Verde, Juchipila, Bolaños, Huaynamota, Mololoa, and other tributaries. Sierra Pajaritos (Nayarit)
The Pajarito Mountains (Sierra Pajaritos) are a small mountain range at the southern end of the Sierra Madre Occidental. They are located in the state of Nayarit in western Mexico. Geography The Pajaritos are bounded on the west by the valley of the Huajimic,, United States National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and on the east by the valley of the Camotlán River. The range consists of tilted blocks with escarpments on their western sides and more gently sloped erosional surfaces on the eastern sides. Huichol
The Huichol or Wixárika are an indigenous people of Mexico and the United States living in the Sierra Madre Occidental range in the states of Nayarit, Jalisco, Zacatecas, and Durango, as well as in the United States in the states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. They are best known to the larger world as the ''Huichol'', although they refer to themselves as ''Wixáritari'' ("the people") in their native Huichol language.
